Many Muslims believe the Muhammad is the Comforter that Jesus said He would sent.

But after thinking about it, this is not true.

I) Jesus said,** “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another comforter that He may abide with you forever.”** (John 14:16)

Well Muhammad cannot be the Comforter, because he died, and could never be with us forever.

II) Jesus also said, ""The Spirit of Truth, whom the word cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
Code:
1) Muhammad was not a spirit, he was a human being.

 2) Muhammad could have dwelled with us, but he could never be in us.
**III) **Jesus said, but if I depart, I will send Him (Comforter - Spirit of Truth) to you. (John 16:7)

Jesus says, He will send the Comforter. Muhammad is called the Messenger of Allah, not the Messenger of Jesus, unless of course, Muslim consider Jesus to be Allah, then perhaps, maybe …

An Invitation to the Truth
Beloved,

I been down that road before I spent many years studying Islam, so I am well aware of its teachings.

If the Islamic prophecies are correct, then we will be united when Jesus return, until then, well, I am comfortible with my faith.

Thank you.

By the way, those verses (Mark-10:17-18 Mark-12:28-29) have to be understood in the context of all the things Jesus said. We can’t just pick and choose which statements from Jesus we like and disregard all the other verses.

PS: When Jesus comes back, according to your prophesies, you all will be followers of Jesus, and you will be like us, Christians (followers of Christ).

Another important point: Jesus promised the Comforter only to His apostles and disciples before His arrest and passion. Jesus named the Spirit of Truth COMFORTER because He wanted His followers to be comforted by the Spirit after His bodily Ascension. Jesus’ followers would receive the Comforter as a GIFT of their faith in Him.

If Mohammad had been the true Comforter, Jesus would have predicted His coming NOT only to His followers, but also to all JEWS, for the Koran contends that Issa openly gave the good news of Mohammad’s prophetic ministry to all Jews.

Of course he was not:

(Matthew 7:15-16)
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

(John 16:1-4)
All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you.”

(Revelation 22:13)
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

(Revelation 16:13)

Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.”

(Revelation 19:20)
But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image

(Revelation 20:10)
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

If Allah preserved “some” texts allegedly about Muhammad, wouldn’t it be wiser if he preserved his word in order to give credit to his last prophet instead of searching in “corrupt” books?😉
