i think you are wrong. The “mothers of believers” were his wives, not daughters.

Perhaps. But Mohammad’s daughters were equally as important as his wives. His daughters were also not allowed to re-marry or be involved in polygamous relationships. They had this in common and the other - motherhood.

Perhaps. But Mohammad’s daughters were equally as important as his wives. His daughters were also not allowed to re-marry or be involved in polygamous relationships. They had this in common and the other - motherhood.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 311:

Narrated Aisha: "....Aisha said (to the Prophet), "I feel that your Lord hastens in fulfilling your wishes and desires."

In other words he was saying and doing whatever he liked.

I observe that all polygamous marriages recorded in the Bible ended up with some kinds of misfortune as if curses befell on such marriages. Seems there was no different in Mohammad’s case. Some of his children died tragically one way or the other and his successors fought among themselves.

I find it is hard to believe that God allowed polygamy. Jesus did not command it and there was no specific command by God to do so either in the OT even though some patriarchs and kings practiced it obviously on their own accord.

Well its not clear because:

• Fatimah Zahra was married to Ali.
• Ruqayyah was married to Muhammed’s cousin “Utba” then to Othman.
• Umm Kulthum was married to Othman.
• Zainab was married to her cousin.

Othman had a total of 9 wives and around 16 children in his lifetime (two of his wives were Muhammed’ daughters, and two of his wives were before Islam), however, the history books that we have do not mention the exact dates (start and end) for each of his marriages, but surly as inJESUS mentioned that Muhammed daughters weren’t overlapping each others.

Yes (Quran 33:53) is very clear, its for his wives only, where his daughters came from!, beside his daughter Ruqayyah was married to two men.
