May the Lord comfort her in this extreme time of need, provide counsel and loving Mercy to this person. I pray that she will somehow find peace, I cannot imagine how that would be easy, but Our Lord has done works much mightier in deed and much more incomprehensible for us mortals before. May He do so in her life likewise. Amen

Will continue to pray for this intention and others.

Eight weeks later and they are back in hospital. Both have fluid around their livers. Mom’s is infected. Not good.

Still relying on friends for temporary housing when they are not in hospital. Those days are numbered. The two dogs are in Texas at my friends house.

The son’s funeral is this weekend. (Eight weeks later!?!) The in-laws are still in denial. ‘Big Mama’ Grandma is coming in from NJ for the funeral and has been told by his side (the shooter) that they all were in a car accident. Understandable at some level but I just hope sparks don’t fly. This funeral could become an ugly situation. I guess it would be better for everyone to ‘play’ nice as opposed to starting trouble but that will be difficult I’m sure… lot’s of pent up emotions…

I am so sorry to read this.
May God bring His resolution for this mother and daughter and bring healing and comfort to the pain they suffer emotionally and physically.May God help them through the pain of the funeral and may the dear son rest in peace in Gods eternal love.

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings,*** particularly for this mother and daughter, family and friends ***and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

O Mary, my Mother, I kneel before you with heavy heart. The burden of my sins oppresses me. The knowledge of my weakness discourages me. I am beset by fears and temptations of every sort. Yet I am so attached to the things of this world that instead of longing for Heaven I am filled with dread at the thought of death.
O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me in my distress. You are all-powerful with your Divine Son. He can refuse no request of your Immaculate Heart. Show yourself a true Mother to me by being my advocate before His throne. O Refuge of Sinners and Hope of the Hopeless, to whom shall I turn if not you?
Obtain for me, then, O Mother of Hope, the grace of true sorrow for my sins, the gift of perfect resignation to God’s Holy Will, and the courage to take up my cross and follow Jesus. Beg of His Sacred Heart the special favor that I ask in this novena.
