One thing I think the article has got wrong though is that it seems to imply that he raps during the liturgy. I saw Father Stan in concert once and was able to speak with him, if i remember correctly I don’t think he uses rap in the liturgy. I could be wrong though.

I’d like to think that the writer forgot the question mark… You know how the media is at adding and omitting…😉
Did you see him preach on the EWTN Mass a few weeks ago? He was great!
He was in my area a few months ago… and, while I’m not really moved by Rap Music, the young people are…that’s who he’s trying to reach…

I don’t see how rapping will bring anyone closer to God. Then he should have entered the entertainment industry.

That’s rediculous he belongs to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. I have seen him on EWTN several times. He is anything but liberal.

I think you are wrong this time. Fr. Stan is going out on a limb to reach young people. I admire him for using very well the gifts God has given him.

Fr. Stan ROCKS!! I have seen him on EWTN too and I agree, it gave me chills, the good kind, I believe a lot of young people will listen to his message. One of his best songs is Family

The fact that they showed part of what he said about not looking like a Catholic Priest doesn’t mean he didn’t say more and they just didn’t play that part. Or perhaps he was just saying, --oh, ok, well that’s good, (like, well, what does it matter how anyone looks anyway, isn’t it what is in the inside that counts? our thoughts, words, actions, intentions, etc…)

He is a good, holy, man. The Franciscan Friar’s of the RENEWAL apparently approve of him too, and our late, dear John Paul the great, he performed for him as well. Afterall, what is wrong with using the gifts God has given you to spread the Good News? Jesus loves us all. I pray the young people who listen to him will realize that they are loved too.

I am sure Fr. Stan would probably think this too-Forget about me, Jesus loves you!

Yes, he most definetly Rocks! I actually prefer his sing ing voice to his rap/scat stuff.
 
he is awesome. I really like his singing of the the poem about “the word” that is the beginning of John’s gospel. I have a hard time understanding some of the rap songs. But all his songs are very good.

Beyond that he is an extrodinary priest and homilist. He came to my chuch for a concert a few months back, he said mass for us beforehand and his homily was off the cuff and 45 minutes long. And his sense of wonder during the eucharistic prayer was amazing.
