I just received this list of what we are singing this Sunday:

I have been considering inserting something all-saint-ish myself, if I can find something that fits. Sing With All the Saints may work. If I don’t get to feeling better, though, I will have to bail this weekend.

I would love it if my parish would do it all four Sundays. It’s only for four weeks, but for the musician you have to calculate how many times you play it in one weekend. Some get tired of it quickly I guess.

It does indeed seem like we were just in Advent.
 
Looking over the readings for the 1st Sunday of Advent made me think that We Are Called and Christ Be Our Light might be fitting.

Question: Do you utilize organ AND piano both in the same mass for different songs? Or do you stick to just organ, or just piano? And if you use both in the same mass, how do your parishioners react to that? Does it flow with the feel of the mass?

What I am getting down to is this: is the concert organ and sacred advent hyms like On Jordan’s Bank still very popular in your church or do you think Catholic Churches are favoring keyboards and guitars over all? At my church, parishioners seem to favor more contemporary music like Come Lord Jesus and Ready the Way, but there are still old sacred hyms for Advent in the Breaking Bread that geared for organ and not on piano.
What are your thoughts? Sacred organ or contemporary keyboard?

At my parish, my music director utilizes the guitar, trumpet, and organ during the Saturday Vigil Mass, (they all play together), the organ is alone at the early Sunday morning Mass, and the organ and piano are played together at the Mass with the choir late Sunday morning.

The organ, in my opinion, can go with any song in the OCP Breaking Bread Hymnal. We have a mix of both contemporary and traditional at my parish and it flows very smoothly with the organ.
