Flogging Molly, The Tossers, The Killigans, Dropkick Murphys, Stiff Little Fingers, Real McKenzies and Flatfoot 56 have plagued my car stereo this year continuously. Irish music and punk rock blended together makes a wonderful soundtrack to my life.

Calling Levi
A few WOW cds
lots of country music
Aerosmith
Bryan Adams
No Doubt
Rebecca St James
Celine Dion
Dido
Mariah Carey(older stuff)

At the moment, Beethoven Piano Sonatas but there potentially could be quite a range.

I really really really like The Cure. I mean really. Nothing sticks out at a Cure concert than a devout Catholic mommy.

I use an iPod. Mostly it is classical (lots of Mozart), country, and Jimmy Buffett 😛

I was a huge Cure fan back in college – huge fan. had concert tapes and a bunch of rare stuff. My friends still collect and go to concerts but it has been a while for me.

Bach’s Mass in C Minor, to get me in the mood for Sunday 😉

Absolutely adore his Brandenburg Concertos as well.

But I do have a very broad taste in music - the opposite end of my spectrum would probably be the Eminem and Missy Elliot that I have been known to listen to (not all their work, and not frequently, but some of their stuff is really good).

Best of Chet Baker Sings
Beethoven Piano Concerts
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons
Best of Hall & Oates

Does anyone have The Wreckers’ CD? I’ve only heard one song (Leave the Pieces), and they’re great. But, I was just wondering if the rest of their songs are any good. Thanks. 🙂

It depends upon my mood and what I am doing. If I’m cleaning house, it is Celtic or Andean music (Chieftains, Danu, Inti-Illimani) happy, perky stuff. If I ever get a chance to sit down in my scriptorium and engage in calligraphy and illumination, it is Gregorian Chant, lute, and classical guitar. Other times? Well my LP collection (yes, folks I still have a working turntable and I don’t mind the pop and hiss since I grew up with it) and my CDs are fairly well centered on the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods. I started out in the Romantic period. The very first LPs I got were for my 13th birthday a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away - the 1812 Overture and Debussy’s La Mer.

I also like British folk rock - Steeleye Span and Albion.

I like sound tracks as well…have you ever heard the Lord of the Rings soundtrack? It’s awesome! :yup:

Laurie Berkner is in the car and Putumayo’s African Playground is playing in the house.

Currently, there is an eclectic grouping:

Jethro Tull (They are the ultimate autumn-inspiring band)

Ryan Adams (Not Bryan. He’s very talented and very emotionally shaky.)

Pete Yorn (A Jersey guy, like me.)

Dan Fogelberg (I am reliving my past.)

There could be anything from classic rock to new rock to jazz to classical on any given day.

Being a Catholic conservative, it is tough listening to some people’s and/or band’s music. A lot of them are so far left. But I am a musician (nowadays as a hobby) and I love music too much not to be able to enjoy music I like.

Ipod, first of all.
The Apologist
Switchfoot
Led Zeppelin
Byzantine Chant
Skynrd
Allman Brothers
Breaking Benjamin
LOTR soundtrack
JC: Superstar
