I read about the Muslim atrocities committed to Serbian resistance fighters who were impaled and then staked along roadways as a warning to others…Bosnia was the one that had the child tax…where the oldest son was handed over to become Muslim and be come a fighter.

To this day Muslim Bosnians will call the Serbs Bosnians to deliberately upset them, that admitted by Muslim Bosnian here awhile back. There was another area in Bosnia that was Orthodox Serb, and a Youtube video showed some of the Bosnian Muslims fearlessly running across the top of one of their churches, jumping up on the Cross on top of the roof and rocking and swinging it back and forth, with a crowd of Muslim men below clapping and shouting, and the cross eventually breaking and falling to the ground…this happening in 2005.

You do not see the Christians abusing mosques like you see the Muslims do all over the world.

The problem with Islam is that you can’t pray it away with the rosary. You have to also physically oppose it and for most people, it becomes too hard. I believe there truly is a demonic spirit attached to Islam that makes it so entrenched wherever it goes. And to remove it from a geographic area requires alot of bloodshed…Note Spain, Sardinia and Sicily…one of the few that regained their freedom.

As far as the Protestant anti-Catholic films go, it is about par and some day people who do such things will also be judged.
Bosnian Muslims have been put off Christianity a lot by the various genocides committed by the Serbs and it has caused much hatred which is understandable but its ironic since all their ancestors before the Turkish invasion were either catholic/ orthodox or bogomils a heretical sect. yes that is true that sometimes it did require bloodshed to fight off Islamic expansionism in the past. Sometimes you have to fight which is the sad thing in this world. And certainly I do agree with you that there is a spirit in islam which is opposed to the gospel and Christianity but most Muslims are just normal everyday people and are not all so fanatical.

I don’t understand how it would annoy a Bosnian Serb to be called “Bosnian”. It’s what they are. There are three “Constitutive Peoples” that make up Bosnia: Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims), Serbs, and Croats They basically break down along religious and cultural lines; there isn’t so much in terms of DNA that separates them. Serbs are generally Orthodox and write their dialect in Cyrillic, Croats are general Catholic and write their dialect in Latin, Bosniaks are generally Muslim and have occasionally used a variant of the Arabic alphabet (though they generally use Latin). All three “languages” are mutually intelligible, but for nationalistic reasons are treated with separate standards according to whichever group is being talked about (this is similar to the situation in India and Pakistan; the language that is spoken by Hindus and written in the Devanagari script known as “Hindi” is known as “Urdu” when written by Muslims in a variant of the Arabic alphabet in Pakistan, or even in India).
yes speaking a as a Croat the languages are pretty much exactly the same it is religion that divides us more than race or language

When I was much younger and more ignorant I would have condemned all Muslims for terrorist attacks or something like that but now I know you cannot as Catholics or Christians in general have done just as brutal things so we cant complain and it is not the way of christ damn 1.5 billion people for the actions of a few . For a true understanding of both religions you need to examine the teachings,
thank you. i appreciate it. another poster on this thread cannot seem to see this. you have put what ive been trying to say to him, hopefully in a way he can understand. Peace to you and yours 🙂

Instead of leaving people with the last note with a disgruntled person, I am going to repost the note that I left to show people that there are video sites that have a Christian message and refute Islam. Some links or ids on youtube are pretty good, some are a bit dry but all try in their own way to get the message across.

muhammadtube.com disputes Muslim lies in various areas of the Bible, and the Muslim’s own texts.

There is a man on youtube whose id is AhmadsQuran3 who has a series of videos telling the truth about Islam.

There is SG1963 on youtube who does the same. There are more out there.

Truthtube.tv dispels islam’s claims.

Here is a good video site abnsat.com/ for videos on two Christian guys, sometimes more, who debate Muslims. They take on their texts and refute them. They know Arabic so the Muslims can’t use the excuse they have to read the Quran in Arabic.

The last link is my favorite set of videos and you can also listen live to these guys.

Gents,

you all raise some valid points. Yes there is violence in Islam, yes Muslims do very bad things in the name of Islam. Yes there is terrorism and intolerence and injustice in the name of Islam. We don’t deny any of these arguments but we should take an honest unbiased look at the situation.

Muslims in the post Ottoman-empire world are struggeling for identity and leadership, we are broken up into dozens of factions and schools of thought, each with it’s own moral codes and interpretation of the Qur’an. You have the Sufi Muslims who are as peaceful as they come but are considered to be infidels by the majority of Sunnis and many Shia. The majority of Muslims in the world are either Sunnis ~80% or Shia ~20%, and within the two groups you have dozens of factions, the wahabis, the salafis, the shafiis, the hanafis, the malikis, the hanbalis, the zaidis, the Ja’faris, the Ahmadia, the usoolis, the isma’ilis, the bohras and the list goes on. So, it’s fair to say Muslims do not speak in a single united voice. We don’t have a single agenda which unites us.

Additionally, Muslims have also been and continue to be victims of Western Imperialism and interest. Thousands of Muslims around the world suffer and die as a result of western government policies and actions. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children died as a direct result of the sanctions against Iraq enforced by the U.S. Hundreds of palestinian families had thier homes leveled by Israeli bulldozers to make way for settler development with american approval. Hundreds of palestinian children go blind every year from Isreali sniper bullets fired at their eyes without a peep from the western media. Many many children in Iraq and Afghanistan are born with deformities and health complications from the depleted uranium left behind by American and other western military. And many many more suffer every day at the hands of their own dictator governments that are supported and propped up by Western democracies. Are they also not innocent vicitims or do their lives simply don’t have any value? Let’s not delegitimize thier plight either, they’re also human and their lives matter.

Make no mistake, I don’t agree with the Muslim Terrorist, but I understand his motivations. In their mind, they are responding in kind “an eye for an eye” to the western atrocities commited against Muslims. In their eyes, American and British governments kill muslims and then cry foul when a muslim blows himself up killing American or Brits.

The majority of Muslims out there are confused about their identity and don’t have any clear leadership to look up to for answers. So you have some muslims supporting the terrorists, you have others that denounce the terrorists, you have people on the fence who don’t konw where they stand and finally you have Muslims who are too busy worrying about their situation to even think about any of this.

I feel that Islam is at a crossroads between ideologies, there’s an ideology that promotes hatred, intolerence, and violence and there’s an opposing ideology that promotes peace and peaceful means to conflict resolution.

As for ‘Western imperialism’ that is a bunch of hogwash. More Muslims die by Muslims hands - suicide bombers, Jihadists, car bombs, roadside bombs, etc than by anyone else.

If you are confused then fix it.

You want us to fix your problems and then you bash us with ‘Western Imperialim’ name calling. As for no clear leadership - well, get rid of your sharia laws and maybe the majority of Muslims will stop accepting bad rulers and governments. Those are your problems. And the Quran is your problem since Sharia laws are based on the Quran and Sunnah (hadith and sira).

That is all nice and fine that you ‘don’t agree with Muslim terrorists’, and come to us to waste your energies telling us we are ‘Western Imperialists’ and/or that we misunderstand. Well, it says pretty clearly in Sharia laws that Jihad can be done by the pen, the word, the wealth (zakat) and/or by violence.

I have very little sympathies for Muslims complaining about their situation. And that didn’t used to be. Since you want to complain about Israel - it is more hogwash that you add to the argument. If the Muslims stopped lobbing bombs, aiming for women and children, or even hiding behind women and children so their own wouldn’t die, or use their own children as sucide bombers - maybe there wouldn’t be a problem!

Israel has tried to make peace so many times I cannot count. And what happens? The next day bombs are lobbed into Israel. Or they are told they cannot build by Muslims, and others, that they have no right to BUILD IN THEIR OWN LANDS! Of course, if they live in Muslim lands they take their lives in their hands and are in constant danger as are Christians who are persecuted, but Muslims EXPECT complete freedom and safety in our lands. The intolerance and hypocracy is mind boggling from Muslims.

From a speech by Mitchell Wohlberg:
The Ford and the first Bush administration refused to negotiate with the PLO.
Bill Clinton clearly stated that it was the Palestinians fault that Camp David fell apart.
Bush the Second refused to even talk to Yassir Arafat, saying he was an impediment to peace.
Now? Now Mr. Obama goes to Cairo and says the first step toward making peace possible is freezing the Israeli settlements.
The Palestinians refuse to even negotiate, but its Israel’s fault! And then when the clash erupts over the Jerusalem housing, Secretary of State Clinton and the others insist that Israel has to do certain things to show it is committed to making peace. Mr. Obama calls on Israel to take “bold steps” for peace. Israel should show that it is committed to making peace? Israel should take “bold steps?” What was Camp David, which the Palestinians rejected? **What was the Gaza withdrawal, which the Palestinians responded to with rocket attacks? What were the Olmert concessions to Abbas, which only led to the Palestinians refusing to negotiate? What was Mr. Netanyahu’s accepting a two-state solution and a partial freeze of settlements? And what was the removal of most of the check-points in the West Bank? And what were the “bold steps” the Palestinians took besides refusing to even indirectly negotiate, refusing to compromise on the right of return, refusing to accept a demilitarized state, refusing to accept Israel as a Jewish state, refusing to recognize any Jewish historic claims to Jerusalem … All they really seem to have agreed to do is to name more of their streets and squares after terrorists and suicide bombers. And Israel should show that it is committed to peace? Sen. John Kerry goes to Damascus and proclaims that Syria is committed to the peace process. Really? But with Israel there’s a question? **
I don’t like what’s happening. This has never happened before! And to make matters worse, Israel is not only now being blamed for hindering peace with the Palestinians, talk has started to boil to the surface that Israel is to be blamed for the death of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I am tired of the propaganda of misleading facts that come from the Muslims about the Israeli situation.

And what do we get on our campuses? Here is a student that actually brags about ‘Hitler Youth Week’, but also refuses to condemn Hamas - a violent Jihadist organzation.

“For It”: MSA Student Confesses She Wants a Second Holocaust

This link contains an article and the video of what took place.

So, after I spouted off because I get so angry over the utterly falsehoods perpetrated by Muslims - what do you do?

Do what we do. Organize a grassroots bunch of Muslims with like minds and work to change your problems in Islam. You want us to change Islam? That is what is behind all your problems.

Muslim countries have the worst human rights record. Muslim countries allow abuse of women and children, they allow intolerance and ‘street justice’.

Stop coming to our websites and telling us that we are misunderstanding Islam because that will take up a lot of energy. Unless you and your fellow Muslims make the changes - it won’t happen.

And personally, I think that Islam is about chaos. There is nothing in it that says there will be peace. In fact, it is based on war and all those different sects of Islam that come about mean that even if Islam got the world under Sharia - there would still be war because people think that others are ‘not Islamic enough’. And this one - some think that dying for Allah’s Cause will get them to heaven faster without a stop in hell for a time, and so will create excuses why they have to attack others such as the Shia, Hanafis, etc. because they are ‘not Islamic enough’.

Look at the Taliban. They kill more of their own and persecute their own more than anyone else. And no Muslim country came to the aid of those fellow Muslims being persecuted. Not one.

Im sorry the subject of this post wasn’t Islamic violence as I know Christians in the past have committed violent acts, so too do I know Shiites like yourself are often the result of Islamist violence. But rather the point of this post is that I am sick of the total and utter deluge of Islamic propaganda against Christianity on you tube almost all of which is flase polemics which is spent much time refuting in the past but kind of gave up on due to the vast amount of the stuff.

Im just concerned about the effects of these videos on Catholics and the effects on their faith . These videos are mostly then lies and can be proven to be lies quite easily. Claims like cosntine invented the trinity or Jesus never claimed to be god or he wasn’t god because he prayed or cursed a fig tree. It is just utter propaganda and it really annoys me , much of the material comes from mr dedat who knew absolutely nothing about the bible.

Then Muslims make up lies about Jesus claims to be god in the gospel of john without having any understanding of greek and these can be refuted so easily. Like for example my refutation of Muslim arguments on john 20:28 laveracruz09.blogspot.com/.

Or then they make claims about Mohammad in the bible etc.

I mean there is just soo much of this anti-christian propaganda on youtube I feel like it is a serious attempt to eradicate Christianity. I think to a degree Muslims were provoked by evangelicals and their moon god stuff and videos about Mohammad and aisha but it seems to me now that Muslims dominate youtube and use it to transmit huge amounts of propaganda and its catholcis who get caught in the middle

The thing is, DeusVult, probably all of those Muslims claims (Muhammad in the Bible, etc.) can be and is countered by Christian and even secular apologists – even on Youtube. They are not as popular as the Islamic apologetics, it seems (I haven’t done any sort of study as to which “side” has more videos of this nature, but I’m guessing it is Islam), but they are there. So anyone, Catholic or otherwise, who is taken in by these videos and their worn-out “arguments” is simply not doing their homework.

None of this is to say that you should not also do your blog or whatever you want to do to answer them, but I mean…I found the following after 5 minutes of searching:

Zakir Naik exposed, pt. 1 (anti-Qur’anic “science”/“miracles”)
Zakir Naik exposed, pt. 2
“Muhammad in the Bible?” (Deedat wishes that it were so!)
Quran’ic abrogations
Ahmed Deedat lies about “hijab” and Christianity

etc., etc.

Yes you are right on that protestant even non-Christians do answer these things its just on you tube these answers are partially deafened by the vast sea of propaganda.

Mr naik and his scientific miracles of the koran are responsible for a lot of damage as the main reason so many convert is because of this alleged science. The first thing Muslims say when questioned about their faith is that it has been proven by science, then that it must be true since it’s the fastest growing religion or then its true because mohamamd won such an underdog victory it was proof god was with him (to which I reply that by the same reasoning god must have been with hernan cortez for defeating an Aztec army of hundreds of thousands with 300 men), an then they claim Mohammad was prophercied in the bible and other holy texts, then finally when all else fails the revert to the cop out of “if its not from god produce a surah like it”

Next im planning to do an article on the video “ old bible proves Koran true” which is the most stupid video you will ever see made by a liberal theologian Robert beckford (a man who muslims think is a new testament scholar but only studied black theology) and is frequently used by Muslims under false premises that because the didache (what they in their ignorance consider to be an old bible) calls Jesus a servant that this somehow refutes Christianity and proves islam. Which is an absurd notion since the bible itself calls Jesus a servant most notably in philipians 2:5-10, jesus is also the suffering servant in Isaiah and the gospels

and furthermore the didache is the earliest manuscript we have (dating to 70 ad) that refers to the trinity possessing the same triune baptismal formula found in matthew. So to claim that this is an early bible that proves Islam is absurd, to the contrary it proves the trinity is an early Christian belief.

interesting, the internet does allow for the easy transmission of islamist propaganda
I think that when people come across something that is obviously a Jihadist website, or a facebook group or whatever they call Twitter categories then they should report it. Stop accepting something that is obviously wrong.

It might take awhile for the administrators to get to the problem because of the volume of complaints but they will eventually. And if it just a disagreement of ideologies then that is not wrong.

I get notices from MEMRI and there is a Part 1 and Part 2 to their assessment on youtube JIhad.

I can’t find part 1 😦

here is Part 2

you can do a lot, you can speak out against the state sponsored terrorism committed by your governments against civilians of other countries world wide. Tell your government to stop torturing and killing Muslims around the world. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 yet your government is there with all it’s military, breaking down homes in the middle of the night terrorizing families. Your governments do very bad things around the world, don’t be naive qwerk, there’s always 2 sides to a story. You can stop rambling senselessly and support foundations that do good work, you can volunteer for humanitarian organizations, you can do a lot of things to make positive change. You’re angry I can see that, maybe you can channel that anger towards something positive instead of whining on here about those evil Muslims

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess you’re a republican, if a Democrat doesn’t like some content on TV or the Internet he simply switches the channel or site. Republicans demand those they don’t like be shut down.

I can think of hundreds of things which frustrate me, but why do you waste your time and energy exposing yourself those those things which frustrate you? why not filter your searches?

hello my friend. very good post. however, there are also good things happening in iraq due to the U.S. military being there that even our media will not report. such as schools being opened up, new wells with clean water being dug in poorer villages. also the military does all it can to find an arrest those that are building the i.e.d.,s and shooting innocent muslim civilians. yes it is never a good thing when we need to go into a home to fufill our duties. our own civilians do not like this either. i have responded to calls where i am required to do this myself. it is never comfortable having police or military in your home. for the occupants or the police or military. but yes. sometimes bad things do happen and those that violate the rights of iraqies are usually brought to swift justice. and you are correct, there are 2 sides to every story. and i for one, admire your call for peace and understanding between people. this is exactly what is needed if we are ever to work together to address real issues affecting real people. reguarless of their background. Peace to you and yours. 🙂

:rotfl:actually my friend, we have our extremist on both sides that do this. i dont think he is looking for them to be shut down, i think he would like to see a counterbalance of information to refute what he is hearing. being neither a republican nor a democrat, i can laugh at extremist on both sides, and see the good people in each of these parties working toward a better tomorrow. hes actually taken a well reasoned approach to his argument. and he is someone who you can have some very good dialoug with. Peace 🙂
