Muslim or Jew?

This is not a thread to stir up any hatred, but a truth to ask those that what would you do if you could choose to fight on each side? Which would you choose? Would all Christians choose Jews?
Seriously, if we were to go to a full blown war, which side would you be on?
 
Conscientious objector, unless the war abided with the ‘Just War’ theory, in which case I would be on the side of the people supporting the just cause.

whichever side my country was on. Unless it was against the Jews.
 
I think I’d have to go with whichever side paid me the most… :rolleyes:
 
The Jewish people, of course, no matter what.
our Master and Savior was a Jew
and the Muslims claim he was simply a prophet, one in a long line leading to their killing, jihadist “prophet”

the only war that would be Israel versus the arabic nations would be because the arabs can’t stand any longer for the Jewish people to be alive, and would start killing them, and Israel would retaliate (e.g. Gaza)

so obviously even exempting our religious ties to the Jewish people, any freedom-loving, democratic person would have to side with the Jews.
 
This is a moral question… and so Christians really should refer to the teachings of the Bible for divine guidance in order for them to arrive at the correct decision in the eyes of the Lord.

hamba2han, although the Jews DID break the Covenant of God a gazillion times, as it took them 40 years just to get home, the Jews are not the ones who are inciting riots and killing people in other countries for the sake of their God.
And even though I myself believe that the Jews are not the chosen people as they were before Christ came, I believe Jesus came to the Jews to lead to the gentiles. Yes, they have no faith whatsoever in Christ but this doesn’t mean they have no right to defend themselves.
Hamas started the situation and Israel waited and waited and they retaliated. It will probably get worse before it gets better. Neither side wins in the end.
 
In principle I support the right of Israel’s existence. I would like to see some amount of give an take that ideally leads to Israel and Palestine states existing side by side in peace. That being my stance then it follows that anything or anyone that prevents this to happen will meet my objection.

At the moment my support would be Israel perhaps because I see it as the David as opposed to the Goliath of the Arab world. Institution like Hamas and Hezbollah and Muslims who subscribe similar ideology are obstacles to peace in the Middle East and inevitably causes of war there.

Anyway there is too much partisan sentiment among every Muslims that they are practically unable to be truly rational about the reality there. For me this has only pushed my sympathy stronger for Israel and disdain for Islam which allows Muslims to support anything Muslims blindly.

This is just personal opinion and not a reflection of what’s right or wrong.
 
I apologize for starting this thread. Not a good choice. We all know here whose side we would fight for, no need to go on…

In a nutshell, this indeed is the problem with the Christian view of morality.

Many Christians just do not care much about what is right or wrong in the eyes of the Lord.

The Muslim view is that the right to determine what is morally right or wrong is the sole domain of God.

And Muslims care? Oh please…🤷 The false religion of Islam will be gone within 10 years…
 
I am merely quoting the teachings of the Bible in case you have not noticed.
