**I’m just a feeble human so sue me…You’ve shown only the opposite of this.

**I must admit, you really did a wonderful job in simplifying it thread, let me know more about your Soap box time and I do like your prayers and hope the lord answers and your sins are not as bad. As you he has the mercy and compassion to forgive any sins.PAX
My 2 Cents; and that all its worth…
MY SOAP BOX TIME
- They have a Right to meet & express their view under the US Constitution.
- You may not agree with their view point, but you have the right to ask them question also… A free country…
- They have a God given right of “Free Will” to accept or deny His Callings…
- You are not the Judge or Jury, but only voice to plant seeds, explain view, and provide your information.
- Propaganda – is an extreme overkill word for this event. Since you negativity used the Def#2… Which anyone can use as for any situation just because you disagree??? WHY?
- Def; 1- Publicity information put out by an organization or government to promote a policy, idea, or cause….
- Def; 2 - Publicity deceptive or distorted information that is systematically spread…
- This event was not set up as a DEBATE!
- A Q/A session is just that; Ask a Question get a Answer – Simple
- Debates have rules, guidelines, format, Time limits, boundaries….
- How many other Q/A events have you seen that the answers given, you didn’t agree with… Just turn on the TV to find that out…
We have a Call to be like the Saints, like St Benedict & St Francis, and follow in their footsteps of Humility, Peace and prayer. Jesus gave us the Beatitudes and the fruits & Gifts of the Spirit, the great commandments, and how to pray to Our Father… it did not include stoning our neighbor…
You just don’t understand Christianity. I suggest you go read it until you do.I’m just a feeble human so sue me…
Go back and reread your opening post. If someone came to a Catholic event with that attitude towards what was to be said, would you say “now there’s a guy who is prepared to be fair, agree or disagree with our points”?Anyone who has been to one of these Islam “Q & A” things already knows what I’m talking about… If you haven’t, just go to one and you’ll find out for yourself. Already it starts with the attempted guilt trips and how I must be soo intolerant to say things like this. So apparently making yourself aware of the spread of misinformation = “stoning your neighbor” now… that made me LOL
More supposition.I wouldn’t. I doubt you would.
It got to the point where I realized that some people’s hatred of all things Muslims runs so deep that typing away is truly a waste of time.More supposition. You’ve been away a couple of months and that’s the best you can come up with.
And when pressed for answers you go away again.![]()
You make the same self-refuting posts AbeOsman does; you want to both ‘explain’ Islam, but say you don’t.It got to the point where I realized that some people’s hatred of all things Muslims runs so deep that typing away is truly a waste of time.
He tried-you just reject everything he tells you he believes and accuse him of lying or of knowing less about what his faith teaches him than you were able to learn in a few minutes with a search engine. You make the same self-refuting posts AbeOsman does; you want to both ‘explain’ Islam, but say you don’t.
When you get tired of spamming, let me know.
And so you continue to make the same non-argument.He tried-you just reject everything he tells you he believes and accuse him of lying or of knowing less about what his faith teaches him than you were able to learn in a few minutes with a search engine.
You know, lukewarm, the OLD testament is called OLD for a reason. Try the NEW testament.
I don’t think you’ve even read the quran, nor understood what I wrote above.
- The God of the Old Testament is no different than the God of the New Testament. They are inseperable, anything else is heresy in Christianity Catholicism in particular.
- IF somehow you did seperate the two would Judaism be much more worth your time preaching against? Seriously read the Qu’ran, there’s really nothing that bad in it (as compared to the Bible, there is plenty I disagree with).
Not according to the latest pope though. Different pope different understanding of Islam.Instead of judging before you attend, why not go and see what it is like? Let us not forget the Catholic Church’s teaching on Islam:
*841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day."330 * From the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
*3. The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth,(5) who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God. Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet. They also honor Mary, His virgin Mother; at times they even call on her with devotion. In addition, they await the day of judgment when God will render their deserts to all those who have been raised up from the dead. Finally, they value the moral life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting.
Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems, this sacred synod urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom. * From Nostra Aetate, Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions, Proclaimed by Pope Paul VI and a document of the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican.
So I’m a liar now?I don’t think you’ve even read the quran, nor understood what I wrote above.
There are plenty of jihadist verses in the Quran - surah 9 for instance. If you want to discuss that with me, let me know. But read it first.
Also, please learn the difference between descriptive and prescriptive verses.
So your infallible Pope and Church was either wrong then, or now on Islam? Not according to the latest pope though. Different pope different understanding of Islam.
