But does Sharia Law require non-Muslims to pay the jizya? The tax for not being Muslim? I seem to recall that being in the Quran.
Hi jjwilkman,dead sea scrolls?
Muhammad lived right on the fringe of the Christian world, he would have undoubtedly come into contact with Christians. Read here for further information. Muhammad took what he liked of Catholicism, rejected what he didn’t like, and formed his own religion from it.Hello HlGomez,
Yes, this is the Islamic viewpoint. Please understand that Islamic beliefs are not meant to insult you. Just as you consider Islam to be a religion of Satan.
Secondly, the Prophet Muhammad never associated with Christians in his life. And he was illiterate, so he wouldn’t have read the Bible.

Why not read the link I posted? It’s quite long so there is no way you read it in the time that’s gone by since I posted it. It is full of examples.Hello Unworthysoul,
The Prophet Muhammad lived in Mecca which was several weeks away from Jerusalem by Caravan. There were possibly 1 or 2 Christians in all of the Arabian Penninsula.
The only Christian in Mecca died the same year as The Prophet recieved revelation.
If you still claim that The Prophet Muhammad stole from Christianity, then you would have to bring more proof then simple similarities. Names, places, documents, references, statements and witnesses. Even one will do.

Hello Selvaraj,Dear Munawar Can you answer for this ?
Hi Unworthysoul,Why not read the link I posted? It’s quite long so there is no way you read it in the time that’s gone by since I posted it. It is full of examples.
If you skimmed it then you do not know what arguements are there to answer. Your “answer” is no answer at all. You asked me how Muhammad took from Catholicism. I gave you a link showing you exactly how. You dismissed it after only skimming it and saying you’ve answered that before.Hi Unworthysoul,
I skimmed through the article, but I’ve answered this question many times, so I understand the arguements.
My answer still stands true. Provide proof if you really believe that Islam is a bastardized Christianity. I feel it is obvious, that God sent a Prophet to Arabia, describing the same message as all the Prophets before him. This is why you find so many similarities in the two religions.

You know, I can very easily say back to you what you have said of the Bible. How do you know that is how it happened? What proof do you have other than tradition?Hello Selvaraj,
I dont see a question to answer, but what I will do, is layout simply what transpired when the Quran was compiled:
He creates 6 Qurans again. They are exact copies of what he wrote 13 years ago. (He should know, he has access to the copy, and he has memorized the book). Of these 6, two Qurans are in existence today. One in Turkey, the other Samarkand, Uzbekistand.
- The Prophet Muhammad receieved revelation; the Quran
- His companions memorized and wrote down the Quran throughout his life. 136 Companions memorized the entire Quran. The Prophet approved of their memorization. Meaning he told them that they had memorized correctly, 100%.
- After his death (within 3 years), The Quran is compiled into one book, by Zaid bin Thabit. Every line of the Quran requires 2 witnesses before he includes it in the Quran. All verses are accounted for. 6 Qurans are compiled and all Qurans going forward are from this source.
- Within 13 years, there is a need to standardize the dialect of the spoken Arabic. There are issues of mispronunciation of the Arabic. Zaid again rewrites the Quran, but is explicit in that he writes it from the Quraishi Dialect of Arabic (think British English versus American English).
All in all, the 2 existing Qurans were created within 13 years of the Prophets death. They are written and verified by companions who had memorized the Quran in front of the Prophet.
Do you see any issues with the authenticity of the Qurans today as based on these 6 originals?

Muslim males are allowed to marry a non-muslim. Can a Muslim female do the same?Hello Jennie66,
In Islam, women are not treated brutally, in fact they recieve equal rights to a man. You’ll be surpised to hear many American women willingly become Muslim, including many Catholics I know.
I dont mention this to show-off; But simply to show you that your idea of what Islamic treatment of women is.

Muhammad was a merchant in the Middle East…he certainly did associate with both Jews and Christians. Muhammad was actually a fairly successful merchant living in a prosperous trade city (Mecca). If you think that he never associated with Christians I…well, that’s just not true. Many other merchants Muhammad would have traded with would have been Jews and Christians. While he may never have read the bible himself, I guarantee it came up at least once in conversation with another merchant.Secondly, the Prophet Muhammad never associated with Christians in his life. And he was illiterate, so he wouldn’t have read the Bible.

I’m not the one insulted, but the One who had been raised from the dead. You are just pointly referring to the Son of God as liar. Just because a man named Muhammad “purportedly” received a “revelation” from God says that the bible is corrupted and then you believed right away. Where is your proof? Muhammad?Yes, this is the Islamic viewpoint. Please understand that Islamic beliefs are not meant to insult you. Just as you consider Islam to be a religion of Satan.
You never read history, I guess. Muhammad may have been illiterate, BUT may have talked with Christian heretics. You don’t get the point? Hearing is the same thing as reading, you still get the message.Secondly, the Prophet Muhammad never associated with Christians in his life. And he was illiterate, so he wouldn’t have read the Bible.
Many people convert to Islam because of their belief that they can marry as many wives as they can. Our present generation is full of adulterers and adulteress so Islam is the best way to go because Christianity, especially Catholicism doesn’t allow divorce nor remarry.Of course they’re all converting to Islam… it’s pretty well known that the last days will be terrible times and the true faith will be persecuted. I doubt that “true faith” is going to be such a widely accepted majority. Especially not one that treats all non-adherents like they are beneath dirt.
