Muslims, how can this be proper?

Isn’t it funny that every Islamic teaching has some kind of exception to it. No dogs except working dogs for the Bedu, no pork or wine except during starvation, no more than 4 wives except Mohammed, no lying except at war, to mend relations between people, metaphor…etc…Is that convenient?

Because frankly, I agree with Meedo that some people on this site need to see a doctor. Substitute the paranoid rhetoric in thread thread about ‘Muslims’ to ‘Jews’ and you’re in 1930s Germany again. I don’t think you guys even realise how frightening you are.

i can’t say anything about ppl.but if you ask my position then i will inform you honestly that i am really frightened.cuz i am trying to leave my country.i leaved islam secretly and if any1 wil know about it then they will kill me.i know my situation better than other ppl.but i am frightened cuz if muslim will capture western country then where will converted christians go,who leaved islam&take christianity?&hitlar was a godless beast thats it.

**That is not true. There are conditions for any place being called dar ul harb. That will be when any christian country will attack a Muslim country which hs the Islamic laws enforced. Since there is no christian country and no Islamic country then the question of dar ul harb does not arise. Please do not assume things and do not mis-read the events of the far past times.
If there is any country who persecute the Muslims without their faults, i.e. Persecute them just because they are Muslims and they believe in Allah then that country may be called Dar ul Harb. Otherwise not.

There is no need for any of you to believe in Islam. Just be peaceful and do not tell lies and do not propagate hatred against Islam. Muslims will not hurt you. And you can preach your religion too. But it is just because your preachers are all doing what you are doing here on the forum, It is clear that you are not honest and peaceful people. So, it is not allowed to preach enmity (Kufr) in the Muslim countries.

Islam does not support telling lies at all, even in war time, war area. Not allowed. But ideas can be spread to misguide the enemy. That is not a clear lie. That would be only a supposed thing or sort of possibility.

Similarly, it is not allowed to tell lies to improve strained relations. The best that is allowed is to hide any truth which might aggravate the matters.

The matter about wife is also not to tell any lies. To please her, one may say “I love you so much…” That is a matter of the heart. No body can say that is a lie…

The important news is that there is no “Dar ul harb” now. Please forget that and do not tell any lies.

Its not clear if she really received a medal during that visit or not, but if yes and that medal confers no honor and its sold online to anyone, then that is a propaganda, and if the full-page ads that were placed in the international newspapers were showing Alwaleed bin Talal himself without showing the actual photo of his aunt, then that is a Saudi royal family propaganda, and if they were using verses from Quran together with that ad, then that is definitely an Islamic propaganda, (I hope someone scans that and show it to us).

Actually that what we call in Islam Jihad Alkalema (i.e, Jihad using your tongue).

Here are Quran & Hadith supporting that type of Jihad:

“Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur-an).” (Quran 25:52).

Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0079:
“…I heard the Messenger of Allah as saying: He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of faith.”

Let’s not make sweeping generalizations of entire religions just because one/two people publish fake articles. If Catholics spent more time going after people like Chick publications for the slander against Catholics we would be better off.

I propose we be more charitable toward our Muslim brothers. My Catholic brothers, we have enough policing of our own to combat heresies. Once we get our house in order we will be better able to negociate with our neighbors.

**Thanks for presenting the Quran and Hadith. Now please read the verse of the Quran again because it is talking about the Kuffar (Plural of the kafir). You can check up the words in actual Arabic in Quran. It is all about the fanatic hostile disbelievers,not peaceful disbelievers. See the good translation below:

“Therefore listen not to the Kuffar (The fanatic, hostile type Unbelievers), but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur-an).**”

Also please note that this Jihad is with the Quran and not with any weapon (sword etc). So this verse is concerning the argumentative type non-believers. And no killing is involved.

**That is not true. If any muslim clergy is preaching that (and it is quite possible) then he is a bigot and ignorant.He may be having his own problems to settle or to earn his living. There is no Dar ul harb now as i have proved in my previous post. Please see. It is a silly idea and not supported by the Quran. The world is a global village. Every one is living in each others country happily.

I am just waiting for someone to bring to up those 72 virgins that are OBVIOUSLY the very heart or your religion–that will convert you right quick, won’t it? It does not take rationality or perspective or good will or even the first scrape of knowledge about Islam to make peace or show them the truth

really we should just be name calling, what is the point of writing a complete or understandable thought?

i salute and respect any muslim who would brave a place such as this where they are sure to hear slander against their integrity and sincerity as well as that of the Prophet. still one must hope
