Sorry, Mosacked, the anti-christ was already there very soon after Jesus disappeared. He came in the name of Jesus. He was a wolf in the sheep clothing. He derailed the whole teachings of Jesus from the right track. That anti-christ was already there before Muhammad came on the scene. But the anti-christ was not so powerful at that time.

Please think over. Muhammad never came in the name of Jesus. He came in the name of God (Allah). Muhammad never presented himself as a sheep (christian). So you should look for some one who came in the name of Jesus and he presented himself as a sheep i.e. christian.
Muhammad told that the anti-christ (Dajjal) will gather momentum. He (Meaning they) will spread all over the world with their items of trade and their bibles and they will mislead the whole world… They will spread anti-Jesus teachings in the world.

I hope you will recognise the anti-christ now.
Hiyas:)

IMHO this is nonsense.
How about a link source ] to this.

I must admit, you seem to come up with some far-fetched interpretations about Christianity and Islam.

As always, just my thoughts

Isn’t Dajjal supposed to come at the end of the world, during the Qimayah? and now you said that he’s come already?

Islam is one very confused religion!

Yes, Vile Servant. Thanks for reminding me about that matter. You are right. But there is mention in the Hadith about it that dajjal was locked up some where in an island, in the time of our prophet. If you try to check the Hadith about Dajjal, there is much news in the Islamic books.

I am not an expert on Hadith. It is stated in Hadith that Dajjal was (in the shape of some person) locked up in chains. It was predicted that it will come out in later times, as you have reminded.

There is no word “Dajjal” in the Quran. But it is mentioned in the Hadith that every prophet had warned his nation about the bad works of Dajjal (The anti-christ). I state some news about Dajjal as it is mentioned in Hadith. (But that is liable to interpretation.)
  1. It is said that Dajjal will be one eyed. He will have two eyes but one right eye will be damaged.
  2. He will come out of the church.
  3. He will have a donkey, special donkey, who will be very big. There will be a distance of 70 yards between the two ears of that Donkey of Dajjal.
  4. That donkey will carry loads of food and merchandise.
I am sorry, I could not describe the Dajjal and his donkey very well. In the books (Arabic Dictionary), Dajjal is described as a group of fraudy people who travel and trade and cheat mankind.
Even though word Dajjal is not found in the Quran but the word Dhaaleen is a good substitute for dajjal.

Vile Servant, if you know more about Dajjal then please tell us. We know that Jesus had warned his followers against wolf in sheep clothing. He had said that many will come in his name. But they will be wolves in sheep clothing. These words of Jesus clearly absolve Muhammad from being any Dajjal. Muhammad came in the name of Allah, not in the name of Jesus.
Moreover, Muhammad did not come as a christian. So both conditions are not met, not fulfilled. You should look for Dajjal who was a christian and who used the name of Jesus…

the Prophet said:
(If anyone testifies that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and that `Isa is Allah’s servant and Messenger and **His Word **which He bestowed on Maryam and a spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true and Hell is true, then Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he performed.)

Imam Ibn Kathir says…
“Saying that something is from Allah, such as the spirit of Allah, the she-camel of Allah or the House of Allah, is meant to honor such items.”
there is a vast difference between Allah’s Word and Allah’s She-Camel (or house, for that matter). The Word of Allah is the Divine power of Allah, for Allah says “Be!”, and it is. Allah created all things by His Word and gave mankind divine teaching by His Word. A She-Camel is, well, pretty much a She-Camel.

Therefore, Jesus being the Word of Allah is One in being with Almighty God the eternal Father and Creator.

Islam is one very confused religion!

A religion founded by Satan has nothing better to do than confuse. Isn’t that apparent? 🙂

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.
… Al-Qur’an, Surah Al-Ikhlas

Surah Al-Ikhlas is the touchstone for recognizing the Creator and Sustainer.

If anyone can satisfy all of the above conditions, then Muslims would have no objection in accepting that someone as being Allah Almighty.

allah schmallah. he/she is not God almighty. The Father…Son…and Holy Spirit make the One True God Almighty. The rest are from Satan.

With all due respect, before this Surah was recorded we had from Blessed John these challenging words:

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. (1Jn 2:23)

We, as Christians, know the Father through His Son whom He gave all things…

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. (Joh 3:35)

This authority will be exercised on that Dreaded Day of Judgment when we all will stand before Him (the Son)…

For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (Joh 5:22-23)

I understand that you, representing your faith in Islam, must hold to your own beliefs in this but you must recognize that such statements are not compatible with our Revelations. As Christians, those who place their faith in Christ and preservere to the end in that faith, will stand before the Judgment Seat as you will. Truly, we will all answer for our works, be they good or bad. Let us, at least, hope that He Who Is is most Merciful and Compassionate. Amen.

Peace Salaam.

Thanks Chrisb… Please note:
Hamba is right. Hamba is presenting the Quran. We do not know how to convince the catholics. Catholics have got wrong notions about many things. We Muslims do not deny the son i.e. Jesus. We do not deny the father, i.e. God. We do not deny the holy ghost. So what is the problem?. It is only a small problem of nomenclature. Catholics are trying to build a relation of father and son.

Yet they do not know in what sense is jesus the son of God. Is he a born of God? Is Jesus a breathed son of God? Is Jesus a begotten son of God?? If begotten then in what way begotten?? In the real (literal) sense of the word in which the word begotten is used in BibleNT in Mathew Chapter 1 verses 1,2,3…?? Is this begotten some symbolic sense, say spiritually begotten?

That is the problem of the Catholics. We Muslism believe in The God and we believe in Jesus as the messenger of God. We believe in the holy spirit too. But we do not follow the old theory of Abb (Father). We have the Rabb (The Creator, maintainer, sustainer) of the Universe.
We, as Christians, know the Father through His Son whom He gave all things…
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. (Joh 3:35)
No harm. The Father will surely love the son. We believe that God gave things to Jesus. You cannot know the Father (God) without the son (Jesus). That is also true. WE do not disagree with that.
This authority will be exercised on that Dreaded Day of Judgment when we all will stand before Him (the Son)…
Okay. Admitted.
For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
(Joh 5:22-23)

Okay, any one who does not honor the son (Jesus) does not honor the father (God). That is true. But please remember that you keep that honor for the son (Jesus) only. Do not spread it further into other lower fields.
I understand that you, representing your faith in Islam, must hold to your own beliefs in this but you must recognize that such statements are not compatible with our Revelations. Yes, okay. Thanks. Let us not fight or blame each other. We will all have to stand for judgement on the last day. The righteous will be rewarded. The culprits (sinners) will be punished. I agree to you for that. So let us all hope for the best. Is it okay with you?

Well…if you accept the doctrine of the Trinity there is no problem.

Thanks Chrisb… Please note:

In all fairness, we Catholics, are not ‘trying’ to build a relationship of Father and Son. No, that was established before the first words of the Quran was uttered during the Great Councils of the Church. When we speak of one ‘denying the Son’ we are speaking of one denying the divinity of the Son and the Essential Unity between the Father and the Son. I assume that you, as a Muslim, deny, No?
Yet they do not know in what sense is jesus the son of God. Is he a born of God? Is Jesus a breathed son of God? Is Jesus a begotten son of God?? If begotten then in what way begotten?? In the real (literal) sense of the word in which the word begotten is used in BibleNT in Mathew Chapter 1 verses 1,2,3…?? Is this begotten some symbolic sense, say spiritually begotten?
The Sacred Text are not for ‘us’ to interpret but for the ‘Church’ (i.e. the Body of Christ) to interpret within the Life of the Church. We must be participates in that Life. It is only then that such divine things are revealed. If it was merely by means of our exercise of reasoning then the dumb, would be left out… No, there are many who are very educated in St. Paul’s time who refused Jesus as the Christ. Why are we now going to assume that such spiritual understanding is simply the work of our minds? It is not.

The Logos dwelt with God, and was God and it was ‘that’ which came down and dwelt among us in the Incarnation which was our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
That is the problem of the Catholics. We Muslism believe in The God and we believe in Jesus as the messenger of God. We believe in the holy spirit too. But we do not follow the old theory of Abb (Father). We have the Rabb (The Creator, maintainer, sustainer) of the Universe.
Even in this you share in the Platonist Teachings of the One but you don’t recognize the Logos or the World-Soul as divine. We, Catholics, do recognize these ‘eternal’ relationships within the Divine Godhead, if not first person through mystical encounter through the Dogmas past down to us by those spiritual forefathers who did encounter the Godhead themselves.
No harm. The Father will surely love the son. We believe that God gave things to Jesus. You cannot know the Father (God) without the son (Jesus). That is also true. WE do not disagree with that.
Blessed John doesn’t simply say The Father loves The Son, here but says, that He gave The Son ‘all things’… My guess is that, as a Muslim, you deny this.

[qutoe]Okay, any one who does not honor the son (Jesus) does not honor the father (God). That is true. But please remember that you keep that honor for the son (Jesus) only. Do not spread it further into other lower fields.

We acknowledge, The Son as Our Lord and Judge. He is the Son of the Father and it is in His Hands that is held ‘all things’. What The Father has, also has He. Amen.
Yes, okay. Thanks. Let us not fight or blame each other. We will all have to stand for judgement on the last day. The righteous will be rewarded. The culprits (sinners) will be punished. I agree to you for that. So let us all hope for the best. Is it okay with you?
I have not reached low to draw forth a stone against you or Hamba. I haven’t blamed you for anything and it is true that we both with stand before the Dreaded Judgment Seat and give account. I pray for us both that on that day we will be both be counted among those who receive mercy. Amen.

Peace Salaam.

I’ll get to a few of these remarks, but least we forget, Ibn Kathir was born in the 14th century, so that is about 600 years after the death of the prophet of Islam. He could hardly be considered an early authentic authority. You are using late sources, rather than letting Arabic speak for itself. But, supposing Muslim commentaries are correct, let’s review a few choice references.

Ibn Kathir quoted Qatadah’s(may Allaah be pleased with him) understanding of the verse. Who is Qatadah? I’ll leave that for you to find out.

Jesus is called ‘the word’ by Muslim [1.378] and **not ** merely created by the word, as is found in Ibn Kathir. Bukhari calls Jesus ‘Allah’s word AND a Spirit’ [6.60.3; 9.93.907]. Islamic commentaries are all over the place when it comes to these topics. Bottom line, on the subject in this thread, your sources are considerably confused.
Context is very crucial here. The point is why is he called ‘The Word’?(Not by your understanding but by the Islamic perspective). Jesus was created by the word ‘Be’ according to 3:56 from Qur’aan and this is what Qatadah said. The scholars of Qur’aan have said that the best way to interpret Qur’aan is by the Qur’an itself. Anything that is not Allaah is something created by Him. The ‘Spirit’ of course was created by Allaah as the Prophet(peace be upon him) has already said and bestowed upon Jesus. Therefore, ‘Ruhullaah’ was to honor Jesus. ‘Spirit’ is also Angel Gabriel who assisted all of the messengers on their mission. Jesus taught a high sense of spirtuality and not really having to do with this world, hence the reason why the priest don’t marry. That is talked about here: youtube.com/watch?v=vMkSW6bLUE0

Again, your understanding is way out of context. When ‘Word of Allaah’ is applied to Jesus the son of Maryam, it does not mean that He is Allaah or that he is eternal. You have also missed the whole point as to why She-Camel of Allaah (Naqatullaah) and House of Allaah(Baitullaah) was brought up. It belongs to Allaah, yes like all things are owned by Him, but specific things are highlighted to show their importance. So whatever the rule applies to then it is applied to all that fall under it, not because it fits your whim.

As Hamba already stated, chapter 112 in Qur’aan is very important to understand.

There is quite a bit here that I disagree with, but I only have time here to point out the obvious. First of all, there is no reason for Allah to have a camel [Q 7.73] unless he is riding it. That is why the she-camel has such importance. Allah can’t get around Arabia without it.

The House of God motif in Islam is a direct copy-cat from the OT design that Jehovah dwelt in his Temple. In fact, Muhammad also thought that his god dwelt in Mecca in the form of a rock that Muslims still prostrate to 1500 years later.

If I get time, I’ll post a rebuttal to the notion that Gabriel is also the Spirit. Later, I hope to adress the gnostic sacrilege that these possession of God are merely symbolic [House, Son, People, etc.]. I’ll use both the Bible and the Quran as my sources.

Gerrardlerux, you are without a well known faith as youhave not declared your faith, You do not understand the imporatnce of the houses of worship and that they do have a direction too. If you do not know it about the Jews then youare an uninformed person. Those who pray, they need a direction too. No harm.

Did Muhammad (Peace on him from Allah) in the very beginning know the imporatance of direction. Why he was praying facing Jarusalem?? He did that fo 14 years. Did he know from day one that his relgion will spread all over teh world. Mosques will be built and they will need a direction.

Every muslim needs a agreed direction in every city, every home, every country. You are just joking when you say Allah may need camel. What abot your Jesus God. Will he need a Buke?

no problem.
you have just confirmed that Muslims do not deny the Holy Trinity.

blessings.
