Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Loving God,

We lift our prayers and intentions for Tony today, and we ask for your blessings and mercy for Tony and his family during the time of great challenge in their lives. Lord, it is hard to understand why very difficult things happen to good people in this life, but we ask for your grace and trust in your divine providence as we pray and hope for the best possible outcome, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please grant Tony the gift of finding the best path forward in his life in whatever manner you desire, be it through healing or as a witness to others in his current state. Please strengthen and grant courage to Bernice and the family members as they minister to Tony and pray for him. Please help all involved to stay positive and hopeful as they continue their journeys of faith.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

We turn to you for protection, holy Mother of God.
Listen to our prayers and help us in our needs.
Save us from every danger, glorious and blessed Virgin.
Amen!

Lord God, thank you for hearing our prayers… Please continue to guide and bless the healthcare professionals taking care of Tony. Give him strength and let him realize his full potential. May he be a blessing to others and be an example of your healing power… AMEN.

St. Jude, pray for him.
St. Anthony, pray for him.
St. Philomena, pray for him.

May God bless you each for your faithful and kind prayers.

I was speaking to Tony on the phone today and he sounds his normal cheerful self, chatting about various things, the friends made, the blessings that he knows and believes come through your prayers and through the intercession of a relative of my family, Saint Mary MacKillop. Several times he has referred for the favors gained through her intercession, and well he might, as the doctors were initially adamant that he had lost all below the break point…whereas in fact he has gained movement on the left side, and some on the right. He is still wheelchair bound, but manages to enjoy the freedom of ‘having wheels’!

His faith in God allows him to be accepting of whatever comes, and he particularly wanted me to let my youngest sister know he is doing well “because she was very sad about what happened to me.” I think he would like prayer for his only remaining Uncle who has cancer.

And Tony particularly asked me to thank you for your prayers, which he said, are helping a great deal.
So thank you, and God bless you.
Tony will greet you with his blue eyes and red-gold hair, and a friendly smile when you meet him in heaven and you will enjoy his company as we all have done for many years.

Saint Mary MacKillop, Cousin Mary, please continue to intercede for Tony and for each member of our family. And please also pray for these friends who pray for Tony, my sister, and our family
