If mass is virtual, where will the Eucharist come from? I assume father will be in a separate location. How will he teleport the hosts to each classroom?

“Moron” was a medical term?!? You’re a living encyclopedia, @dochawk (and that’s meant as a compliment).
It was also a legal term, and still exists, I believe, in some states, although there is a modern trend to remove it.

I do hae a tendency to remember useless things (ok, and some useful, too). At times, I recall phone numbers from junior high, and I actually popped out with my old phone number here by accident a few months before we moved back–letting me request it again!

I cringe every time I see “NO Mass”. There is no such thing. Most Catholics attend the"Ordinary Form" which is exactly why it is “Ordinary”. It is the Mass that the church, around the world, celebrates. The TLM or EF is not the “Ordinary” and never will be. For those who want it, it is available.
I would rephrase that to “For some who want it, it is available.” Because it is far from available to anyone who want it. I don’t think there is a single EF Mass celebrated in my province. I have to drive 1500 km to another province to find one…if I’m lucky.

That tells me then that there are not enough people who want it.

If the EF is truly desired by a stable group, and there is a priest or priests willing, the request should not be denied.

You have to have priests who are both willing to celebrate it and trained, or willing to be trained, to do so. Not to mention you need parishes willing to spend the money for the necessary furnishings unless those that want it are willing to spring for them.

What furnishings are needed that could not be found in any parish church?

And if there is no interest in having an EF among a stable group, why would a diocese waste resources to train someone?

A stable group of over 100 people signed a letter to our bishop over 8 years ago requesting a TLM at my parish. We had everything required for the Mass including a priest willing to travel to our parish every Sunday. Our bishop wasn’t interested so we never had that Mass.

A stable group is just the beginning of the process. If the bishop isn’t on board with the idea it isn’t going to happen.

And yes, I know that any priest may offer the TLM without seeking permission from the bishop, but in reality priests who do that in a diocese where the bishop isn’t in favor of it are going to be punished.

Usually in Catholic school the students go to confession before a mass. First Friday and Holy days. I would inquire.

You are truly blessed if this is the norm in Catholic schools in your area. Most Catholics around here don’t even know what First Friday is.
