A little more (name removed by moderator)ut from you would be helpful. I am open to corrections.

I am curious also as I don’t see how this thread is even in the same park as some offensive ones begun and maintained by both Catholics and Protestants.

I think that it has been pretty tame.

you are correct it is a crazy view, I will pray for you,you seem like you need it, by the way all of us who are BAPTIZED are united to one another in the holy catholic( Christian) church. jeez!

Christianity started on the Day of Pentecost which is also the birthday of the Catholic Church. All of Christ’s apostles looked upon Peter as their leader. Look to the Bible for hints.

I do not think he is trying to emphasize Hindus and Muslims have superiority over non-Catholic Christians. He is probably trying to mean Hindus and Muslims have a greater respect for their scriptures and have thorough understanding of how their religion started, unlike non-Catholic Christians who at many times are guilty of overlooking historical facts that point to the Catholic Church as the successor of Apostolic teachings.

Despite their beliefs (which may not be as saintly as yours), Hindus and Muslims can and do sometimes put Christians to shame because of their sincerity and worship of God. You must give credit where credit is due. Criticizing non-Christians to mere mockery won’t grant you respect from them.

👍 John of Montecorvino noticed & remarked on the devotion of Chinese Buddhists 700 years ago, & compared it favourably to that of the Catholic clergy in Europe.

Non-Catholics, who have received less from God than Catholics, will stand up at the Day of Judgement & put them to shame; for they will have done more with the little they received than most of us with the riches we have received. In that sense, Catholics are far nearer Hell, & will be far more severely punished. That’s the other side of insisting on how superior Catholicism is to all other religions - to claim that, imposes far greater responsibilities, if people really believe the claim they make

The early Christians described in "acts’ did not seem to be anything like Roman Catholics, they met in each others homes in fellowship, breaking bread together, saying prayers, not a priest around,no bishops,no pope, only fellow "Baptized"believers.
