This is a poem I wrote about 7 years ago, 2 years after knowing the Lord, though I was Protestant then. It’s not a great work of poetry, but nevertheless, it means alot to me and I thought I’d share it.
How sweet is the sound of Your voice oh Lord, that whispers throughout the air, So beautiful are Your works that show oh Lord, I desire none like You
The scent of Your perfume captures me my God, Your Form I cannot behold, Unimaginable love You’ve shown me my God, of this I cannot come to fathime,
How You took me onto the cross with You, to die and to be raised again, How You took on my sins and suffered for me, someone who does not deserve a beauty like You,
Oh, my God, how I love You so, My Saviour, Almighty God, and King,
At times you sadden my heart oh Lord, as I weep with pain and geif, For now I suffer for You oh Jesus, for unsaved, lost, and sin,
Your Light shines onto me my God, and fills my heart with peace, Your Wind blows against me oh Lord, and I feel Your gentle kiss,
From creatures to the sea, from mountains to plains, from flowers to trees, the stars and the rain
So beautiful You are my God, I desire none like You
