Oh yes it does. We’re to follow laws that don’t conflict with Catholic morality.
I’m sorry, but an internet forum is not a place to do it. The exact opposite can and does happen, lest we get into the hundreds of cases of some stranger befriending a child online and convincing them to go to an unsafe place. On this forum, we’re supposed to tell them to discuss it with a priest or perhaps some other person who serves in a public ministry. In my old diocese, everyone who served in Mass in any public capacity had to take training on identifying and handling abuse in case a child came up to us about it.
