I mean, yes, it’s good that you don’t want to shack up with a woman just for the sake of having a woman, but you do seem a little scared of women in general. They’re just people. Anyway, maybe see if there is some way to explore a therapist.
There’s no way I’ll ever “shack up” as these younger people call it. All I’m willing to do is meet someone in public and have conversation and lunch/dinner. I don’t want any kids and I don’t think the church would marry you under such circumstances. Anyway, I don’t want to abuse the sacrament of absolution. Maybe that’s guilt. I just want to wait till I am ready and truely contrite. And the blessed mother’s rosary seems to really help. 🙂

OK, so I have no idea why you won’t answer any of my posts, but I can tell you this:
You are mistaken about so much regarding Catholicism.
If you have a special devotion to Our Lady great. But she will ask you to visit her Son at Mass and at Adoration.

OK.
Hear me, please.
Isolating yourself from the Sacraments is **Never ** going to work for you the way you think it will.
Christ is truly present there at the Mass.
He is the one who can help you. You can glean good advice, good practices, and good reading through the Saints. Education is always wonderful.

But you need serious help. You want to meet a woman who is godly and nice, kind, sincere, not into worldly things? She likely at Mass. But that’s way down the list. Having another person in your life is good, but it’s not the end of the world if you don’t. Maybe you’re better single, we do’t know.

What I can tell you is that you are not meant to separate yourself from God, the Church, the Sacraments, and the Word.

Call uber and go.
Go to Adoration and read THERE.

Don’t isolate yourself. It won’t work. You’ll just turn out odd and miserable
I’m saying this for your own good. Many are praying for you.
I am not sure what about isolation from sin and people who flaunt it is problematic.

Why do you believe I am isolating myself from the Church? Transportation is a real struggle for me most of the time. It is understood that the buses here do not run on Sunday and I can’t make it to Mass. As for going once a week and not partaking in the sacrament, IDK. Going to adoration sounds good.

Because you said so. You said you want to stay away from Mass.

The fact that you have awkward feelings about women is secondary. I only said that you could meet a nice woman at church because you said that all women were a problem.
They’re not, You just have a problem communicating with them.

you can certainly go to mass during the week.
But staying away from the church and thinking the rosary is all you need is not going to do you any good. If Our Lady were to be asked which would SHE prefer, she would ask you to go confession and to Mass.

Exactly. I agree, don’t stay away from mass nothing is a substitution.

Maybe what I mean is absolution. I believe I mean it when I go to confession. But going every week for quite some time would, I would think anyway; begin wondering about someone’s contrition.

It doesn’t matter what people think, only what God thinks. He wants you to come to confession and to mass. It is humbling to come to confession, especially if you have to confess the same thing. As for contrition, you say you mean it at the time so if you feel it is hard to go to confession then use that to help stop you committing the sin. Be honest with yourself as to what is making you contrite, not wanting to go to Hell or fearing God’s wrath, which is usually where it starts, or fearing offending God. Get some help as well as the penance the priest gives you and be super honest with him, tell him what you have tried since the last confession, what helped a little and what didn’t. Tell him how desperate you are to change and any help you have sort, yes tell him you asked for help here. I suggest you view the you tube video’s of Fr Mike Schmidt who talks on various issues such as yours and how to deal with temptation etc. You may find you contrition moves in the right direction the more you try to help yourself and do tell the priest all you do to try fight these temptations. Reading Psalms always helps in difficult times as does realising you are being tempted, God is with you and you only need reach out to Him, your guardian angel and Mary. Remember how chaste Mary was in your most troubled times. Call on all of them and pray your rosary (get your priest to bless it , if you haven’t already). Good luck.

I just wanted to reach out to someone. I have been having confusions for a long time now. I have been going to absolution every week and sinning every week. And then partaking every week in the sacrament of the host. I am going to spend some time away from Mass and gather myself together. IDK what’s up. it’s not that I don’t care but my spiritual work and devotionals will continue. IDK what’s going on I just can’t resist temptation from inside myself or something outside, IDK. Maybe this happens to people in the faith. You are required to take Mass at Easter and one confession a year. I know that’s the minimum but it’s all I can put out now. Does anyone understand?
Our Mass obligation is not just for Easter, it’s for every Sunday and holy day of obligation. The obligation for Easter is for Communion.

However, I think what you are doing would make you even weaker! it’s like how a Saint said - you feel cold so you move away from the fire?

It can be a temptation to stop receiving the Sacraments. “someone” really doesn’t want you to keep trying. It will be even harder without them. Sometimes we go through times of more temptation and weakness. God allows this in His providence** for a reason** - to show us how weak we are so we realize we need Him, or to gain merits in fighting, - He knows. It’s not from Him but it’s allowed out of love to HELP us in the end, we just don’t see exactly how in the beginning.

There’s another issue… often once a person comes closer to the Church, the devil starts tempting them more. But that’s NOT a reason to stop going to Mass and move away. That’s exactly what the devil is trying, to scare the person. It will stop someday or you will get stronger, and the only way is to persevere 🙂

Of course, don’t receive Communion if you have a mortal sin. But after Confession, do go, and intend to not sin again, even though you know there will be a battle. One day, you will get stronger and will not sin like this, it will become rarer. You are not alone in this battle, there are many others who have gone through strange and difficult temptations. Many of the Saints did… this is your opportunity to grow by resisting, even if it doesn’t seem to work yet, KEEP TRYING, praying, receiving the Sacraments, and God will see and reward your effort. God bless you…

You’re required to go to Mass every Holy Day of Obligation. You are only required to take Communion once a year at Easter. If you skip Mass, you will just be adding more mortal sins to confess. But besides that, you need the graces of Mass and Communion to help you through this trial. Keep up your Mass attendance and try going more than once a week if at all possible. Do pray your Rosary, and pray it with the intention of ridding yourself of this habitual sin. Sexual sin rewires your brain like a drug and you will face withdrawal and quite possibly commit the sin again, but don’t give up. Keep your eyes on Christ and know that He never gave up on you and He will be there with you every step of the way. He knows the struggle you are going through. Pray to Saint Maria Gorretti and the Blessed Virgin. If you leave Mass, things will only get worse for you.
