For the future, should the “mean kids” issue arise again (as it will)–pray for your child to be bold and courageous and to be able to respond to those kids with a heartfelt, “Oh, yeah? Well, Jesus loves me and He loves you, too.” We taught that one to our son and it stops most bullies right in their tracks. God bless you!

Stayathomemom,
Thats great news!!!

I’m not trying to start any trouble but how are you sure that she won’t have the same problems next year at the good school?:o
I was wondering if anyone would ask that!😉

I don’t know of anyone who currently attends or ever attended the school she goes to now. I had 2 options at the time of the move – the current school, and the new one for the upcoming year. They only had openings at the current one for 1st grade, so my options were pretty limited. (The house we are building is exactly the same distance from each school - it’s just that the schools are in opposite directions.)

However, I have aquaintances who attended the new school, and some of their children now attend it, and they have alot of VERY GOOD things to say about it (things that rate high on my list and are important to me & my husband.) We did A LOT of homework when trying to find a good school for our kids. Our priest also highly recommends the school (he is affiliated with a different parish).

It’s funny, because when it came time to register her at the current school, I had this gut feeling that something wasn’t right and didn’t feel good about it. Call it mother’s intuition, I guess…
