My mother passed away last night

Deb, I’m so sorry for your loss. May your mother now be surrounded by the peace of the Lord. May He sustain you in this most difficult time.
 
Deb, your post brought tears to my eyes. Please know that I will pray for you, your siblings and of course your mother’s soul.

Even though you were somwhat estranged, she is still your mother. There is always a special place in our hearts for Mom…not matter how difficult the relationship is or was.

Please take comfort in the prayers and the support you will receive from friends and family.

I will remember your mother in my prayers. I can empathize, in a way. I nearly lost my mother 2 1/2 years ago, and she is again in bad health.

God bless you and your family in this time of sadness and difficulty.

How sad for you and your family. You have my sincerest condolences, as well as my prayers.
 
Dear Deb, sorry for the loss of your Mom. Loved ones can be difficult to love many times, but we do even so. Because we love - we can have an aching heart when one who should be loving toward us - can’t seem to manage to show it. Long term illness brings this about lots of times. Comfort your brother and yourself that God always knows our sufferings and gives your Mom rest in peace.
