My parents don't like when i draw demons

I pay for my room and board btw, my parents would never be so petty as to ask for money from us to live in our own house, we pay them back by having completed our educations like they wanted , do chores, pay other bills such as the phone or electricity and just pitch in with everyday expenses. They have never and wont accept money for “rent” outright
 
He/She is I think old enough to draw such things even if their parents don’t appreciate it.
 
Thank you! And i definitely am intrested i have already painted the sacred family, and am taking a whack at the last supper, painting is just a bit more difficult a process than illustration, vut i definitely want to use this gift god gave me to thank him for everything he’s done for me
 
I feel it isnt a big deal as in ‘its not that deep’, though, looking now through my sketchbook it seems ive only drawn horns like 4 times lol
 
Yes definitely we could leave, it was told to us more as advice, i find that i always have to explain why i still live at home as an adult tho, tthat was the most co cise way to say it 😅
 
If this is an original sketch then you are very talented. I don’t think the drawing looks demonic but I do think it looks like she has a hole in her head!
 
They’re not demonic, not any more so demonic than a girl with pastel pink hair and 90’s fashion is cuz thats what i drew excwpt she has horns :confused:

don’t let it worry you. I have a 26 yr old son living at home. He makes more money than I do! But he’s saving to go back to law school and he’s a huge help around the house. It’s nice to have someone to do the heavy lifting.
 
Actually people can grow horns. There was a man in an Asian country who had a horn in the middle of his head, like a unicorn. The dcctors removed it but it can grow back. It is called a cutaneous horn (but not cute.) They can grow anywhere, and when they do they look strange. It is bound to cause a reaction among people when they see it. If your parents object to people you draw with horns, tell them they are cutaneous horns and they will need surgery one day. That will probably amaze them. Then get a medical encyclopedia and try to find an example. You can also find it online.
 
Yes, but do they inherently carry that message? I don’t think they do. The very fact that they can come from different sources shows that. I do think it is important to be careful of what messages we send with our art, but basic rules like ‘nothing demonic looking’ don’t actually facilitate that.
 
Yes, but we’re not talking about this. We’re talking about art. Horns are a particular symbol of devil, you can’t deny that
 
Or of animal-human hybrids, or of Pan, or of aliens, or of dragons… Some of those might be problematic, depending on context, but they aren’t automatically evil. Seriously, I think I’ve drawn horns in three of those four ways and not one was intended to depict anything evil.

Its not a hole, it was a half moon, like from the manga sailor moon, but i messed it up so i made it a complete circle with one side colored in lol
 
People associate upside down crosses with demonic things, but we know this symbol as saint peters cross, things can have different meanings depending on how the person intended to use it right?
 
That’s giving the devil way too much power. In fact your very next post shows why. The upside down cross is St. Peter’s, why are you ceding it to the devil?

Art that glamorizes and tempts people into courting demons is problematic. Art that merely contains elements that are sometimes associated with demons does not.

I though your art look very manga.

Not all horns are demonic. Tell your mom what you are drawing, explain anime, cartoons, comic book art. She could be an X-man!

this isn’t a biblical symbol. A pentagram’s meaning can change depending on what culture you are referencing.
