Hi,

Me and my bf had a mini-argument. We got offended from each others’ comments. Now, at the middle of the argument he said that this (the mini-arguments) happens once a month.

I told him he cannot just blame that for whenever we are having arguments because maybe he did something to upset me.

But does it really do something to us, women?

Do we really get more cranky?

Thanks.
Don’t feel bad it’s not just your man that does that!!! Mine does it too…and my exhusband did it as well!! Even my sister blames our little quarrels on it too…If she’s really angry or in a pissy mood then she will tell me things like “Oh I am on you know what, just leave me alone!!” And everyone ignores her…I just stare in wonder at the lack of immaturity in some people!! But Some women might have chemical imbalances when the time of the month comes around…causing them to be just a little edgier, others might not suffer at all, but it’s not the reason for blame. I get edgy big time, and yes I do get suffocated more than usual because the whole “cramping my style” is just no fun at all, and the bloating doesn’t help either, but if my honey aggravates me with something he says or does it has nothing to do with it, of course I will burst a lot faster than I would if I weren’t stressing over the circumstance, but it isn’t because I am on it you know?!😊

:rotfl: Oh, my goodness!!! That’s me - either right before or during. This past weekend, I was totally Mrs. Clumsy. I am literally bruised and scabbed all of the place. I dropped a paint can on my foot (I was painting the bathroom) and thought I broke my big toe and second toe. I didn’t thank, goodness, but I was bleeding all over. This morning I slipped in the shower and banged my leg right underneath my knee, so now I have a huge bruise there. And this evening, while putting the glasses away, I almost dropped one glass, but as I tried to save that glass, my elbow slammed heavily onto a champagne glass on the counter, knocking off the counter and shattering on the floor, and the palm of my hand pressed very hard into the mouth of the glass I was trying to save. Don’t ask me how this happened. I don’t even know. So now, I have a huge bruise right above my elbow, my wrist is a little strained and I can’t bend my arm all the way because it feels like the nerves in that area have been hurt in some way. I can’t explain the feeling. All I can do is laugh at myself. What a clumsy oaf, that I am!!!

The only thing I didn’t screw up on was during my horse back riding lesson. You’d think that I’d have fallen off the horse, but I was actually at my best balance today. Maybe I was being more aware of it.

In term of my irritability during my time of the month… yes, I have noticed over the years that I am much more emotional about a week before my period. Things that never would bother me, suddenly tip me off. I’m less patient, more sensitive, can cry at the drop of the hat if something really affects me. On the other end of the spectrum, I become extremely passionate, sensual, more creative and more in-tune with my body. And when I’m more in tune with my body, I find that I have an easier time warming up to sing and feel like I have more body to my voice when I do sing. Everything is much more lubricated, especially for singing.

Down side is that week, I always feel the fattest and my complexion is the worst. My chest becomes the size of watermelons so that they are so sore during the week, my clothes just don’t fit the way they do the other three weeks, and my face breaks out with zits. Yeah, I really love that. hahaha!
LOL–Too funny that we share the clumisness curse in common. lol I thought I was alone in that. Even my typing is bad during that time.

I try to avoid the malls, because nothing fits quite right…and I don’t know – but do you also impulsively shop during that time too? lol I just can’t eat enough, or buy enough.
😊

It’s downright insane sometimes. :crying:

I recognize the eating pattern, but I never looked at my shopping to see if there’s a hormonal connection. But come to think about it, shopping does make me feel a little better when I’m annoyed about something–at least shopping takes my mind off of whatever’s bothering me. I’m more likely to be irritated and annoyed a couple days before my period.

Yes, you must start saving receipts and seeing if there is a connection. lol

I’m convinced there is!

That thread I started about…wacky online purchases…yep, most of them done during my period. lol

My husband will say…‘did you buy that during your period? Oh no.’ :ehh: (I make not only impulsive buying decisions, but bad ones)😊

I missed that thread and had to search it down.

$16 for marshmellows!!! + s&h!!! You are crazy, girl! Unless… if they were soaked in whiskey and coated in dark chocolate! 😃 Then you might budget them under the catagory of “medicinal”. 😉
