I don’t remember the details but, several years ago I once pressed a JW about something I showed her in an old WTS booklet. She finally accused me of altering some of the booklet, which I’m honest enough to not do, nor do I have the skill. I’m pretty decent with a word processor, but I’m no Dan Rather.
Yessian,I guess BibleSteve has nothing to say to Jeff’s sites…![]()
That’s a funny line.I’m pretty decent with a word processor, but I’m no Dan Rather.
I did not see that thread, and that thread has nothing to do with this one, unless I missed it forgive me, stick to this thread please. Stop bait and switch tactics. And, when someone charged that the WTS lied about Franz’ educational records in their publications, I clearly and systematically showed the claim was false.
And no one commented, or retracted the false charge… Not a peep…
Steve
Excuse me? I charged? I even said I had made a mistake about the first one. The second one, do you want Daisy’s phone number so she can tell you what she told me??You charged:
- Governing Body members were photographed giving blood at a blood drive. - which later proved false. Anything to say in retraction?
- The Watchtower submits their articles to the Catholic Church for approval, since they don’t want to be sued!
- We claim to be “inspired” - and I showed this to be true. Even after I showed you photocopies of WT articles from 1880 through today, you said “Oh, I guess they didn’t say they are inspired, that that’s what I heard them say at the Kingdom Hall, they said there inspired!”. You’ve seen the exact quotes for yourself, and still you insist on believing what has been proved false.
YES!!! That’s part of a my point. A JW will defend the WT organization at ANY and ALL costs. She thought you would go through that kind of effort and energy and possibly hire a proffesional forger that would cost likely hundreds of dollars to alter their literature?
Dont worry Yessisan, bearing false witness has its costs.Oh, and another thing BibleSteve, you can come here and tell people I’ve made false claims… why don’t you post the emails I sent to you so people can see what I actually said? Oh, wait! Could it be that you don’t want to because you didn’t answer the last emails because you couldn’t find how to disprove what I heard?

Have Jehovah’s Witnesses ever claimed they were inspired prophets? Examine the record.Contrary to what this quote from Catholic Answers says, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never claimed to be inspired prophets. They have made mistakes. Like the apostles of Jesus Christ, they have at times had some wrong expectations.—Luke 19:11; Acts 1:6.
The Scriptures provide time elements related to Christ’s presence, and Jehovah’s Witnesses have studied these with keen interest. (Luke 21:24; Dan. 4:10-17) Jesus also described a many-featured sign that would tie in with the fulfillment of time prophecies to identify the generation that would live to see the end of Satan’s wicked system of things. (Luke 21:7-36) Jehovah’s Witnesses have pointed to evidence in fulfillment of this sign. It is true that the Witnesses have made mistakes in their understanding of what would occur at the end of certain time periods, but they have not made the mistake of losing faith or ceasing to be watchful as to fulfillment of Jehovah’s purposes. They have continued to keep to the fore in their thinking the counsel given by Jesus: “Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”—Matt. 24:42.
Because some might be convinced by others like us, that the WT is only lying to them.I wonder why the JW’s dont have a forum like this one to have members defend their beliefs?![]()
