Abortion in most cases is being used as a contraceptive. The fact that pills, condoms, or French ticklers is readily available has nothing to do with it.

Rise? What rise? Homosexuality has always been there. The advent of 24-hour news and the increasing willingness to stick a camera and microphone in front of anyone with a cause has more to do with the visibility of homosexual advocates than anything.

Has more to do with various civil laws in this country changing over time than anything else.

Come on. This is like talking about “more kids than ever having sex at an early age”. The real difference is that more kids are willing to talk about it and be open about it; the actual numbers haven’t skyrocketed in the last 15-20 years.

And actually, Catholics do have the grace of authority in proclaiming the truth of the Gospels, starting first and foremost with the Bishops.

No, you’re angry that they don’t believe the way you do. You have teh right to your opinion. Is anyone dragging you away to reeducation camp or torturingi you? No. Your right to believe the way you want is protected by law (in the US anyway). So you got that already. What you want is everyone to see things the way you do-- that is, accept you ULTIMATE truth claim that there is no ultimate truth claim. When they don’t, you’ll claim that everyone is intolerant bigots and never see the massive contradiction in your thinking because you have so thoroughly given into your Ultimate Truth.

I can get arrested for murder… I can not get arrested for using a rubber.

As I pointed out around 100 posts ago, it’s incredibly ironic that a thread calling for tolerance has become a 4-on-1 with a bunch of generalized bashing against non-Catholics.

No… in fact I could care less if no one agrees with me, I just don’t want them to try to change my opinions and convert me.

The definition of Catholic means something completely different to protestants and you know that.

So you don’t want them expressing their opinions. So why are your expressing yours and strongly disagreeing with others? That is what this whole thread is about after all.

Then again, why are you here? No one is forcing you to be here. We haven’t tied you down and forced you to partake in this discussion. Nor did we come to you to have this discussion. You are here of your own free accord.

Now, you are more than welcome here, but please be honest about your motives and reasoning for being here. Your either here to 1) ask a question about Catholicism, 2) want to be converted, or 3) want to convert others. So far, it seems to me that #3 is the likely answer, even against your protests that it isn’t.
