No, I’m saying individuals throughout history have created their own man-made religions because they deny divinely revealed Truth.

I must ask again why are you here. If you truly believe what you have posted here, then it shouldn’t matter to you what we think or what the Church thinks whether you are under authority or not. And since truth is relative and should leave people alone, you shouldn’t be here bothering us.

Please, I don’t mean this in an offensive way, but I am trying to understand your motives and reasoning for being here - as it doesn’t seem you care to learn a thing about what the Church teaches, other than to confirm you in your sin(s).

I came to this forum off of Google and saw a lot of people attacking others based on their personal beliefs… which I think is BS. I created a thread to foster mutual tolerance and I get attacked… tell me, how am I going to feel when I leave here?

I don’t see the modern day Catholic religion as the one true religion, so your argument is lost on me.

Yes, he does - and through the Bishops. But, this teaching isn’t one that is exclusive to revealed truth. This law is on the hearts of all men, everywhere. Even those who have never come into contact with the proclamation of the Gospel have this natural law inscribed on their hearts. And they must obey it.

How have you been attacked? We’re merely pointing out the Truth of the Catholic Church.

You should feel that the Catholic Church doesn’t tolerate religious indifference or relativism. We respect and love people, but not erroneous and soul-endangering opinions and teachings.

I don’t see the Pope and bishops as anything other than normal men who serve God. No different that any minister, except more famous.

So you see, I do not believe that any church rule created by the Pope was actually created by God.

How can the church not tolerate protestants when it has no authority over them?

This law wasn’t created by the Pope or the Bishops!!! This comes straight from God. Even every Protestant denomination recognized that fact (on scriptural grounds no less) up until about 70-80 years ago.

We love Protestants, but not those teachings which are false. Now, Protestantism has some of the truth, but not all of it. We acknowledge were they have truth, but that which is false, we cannot confirm.

While the Pope confirms this teaching, it didn’t originate with the Pope - it originates in Scripture and Sacred Tradition (did you read those links I provided you). It originates in the natural law which God has written on the hearts of every man.
