Based on what criteria? I have never read it myself, but I’m curious to know just what you mean by this.

read it, its horrible… it comes NOWHERE close to the Qu’ran nor everyone would have converted.
 
I’m still waiting for someone to post something from the quran that beats what we have in the gospels. Come on folks. Get cracking.

Um, converted to WHAT? And you still haven’t explained anything about the standard you’re using to make this judgement… You just say “it’s horrible”. So basically, you don’t like it and that’s what makes it objectively inferior to the Quran?

convert to Christianity. the “true Furqan” was written by Christians to convert Muslims. it is NOTHING compared to the Quran… i already mentioned that

Okay, well I say “The Quran is NOTHING compared to the Furqan.”

We both have identically compelling arguments at this point, so I guess that puts us at a stalemate for now. Got anything else for us?
 
Muslim, those of us who are spiritually alive in Christ clearly see that it is vastly superior to the koran. The quran is like rolled up newspaper compared to it.
 
There is nothing in Muslim writings that even compares to the Gospels. The Gospels are very vastly superior to anything in islam
 
I see a lot of opinions, but not a single quote as was requested by cestusdei. Why do people post on a thread when they can’t even follow the criterion established by the OP?

There is nothing more beautiful than the words spoken by God. Surely, all of us can recognize the Word of God as we are all His creations. So, is there anything like that in the Quran or not, Muslim?

yes, and that is why tons of people revert to Islam after reading the Qu’ran. people like me. and the Qu’ran is the word of God. if you are bashing it, then you are bashing the word of God.

I don’t believe that the Quran is the Word of God. I’m not asking you to believe that the Bible is (which it is) but after being subjected to a deluge of attacks on the Bible by posters like freedomm, I think it is only fair to allow the Quran the same scrutiny.

By the way, many people have converted to Christianity after reading the Bible. That is why you will find articles like the one freedomm provided a while back which said the Bible is being stored in closets at a hospital in England now when they once were placed bedside. Non-Christians complained - too many people were being exposed to the Word of God and converting - which they felt was out of place in a public hospital.
