Jerome be assured of my heartfelt prayers for you and your son.
You sound a great Dad who does the best he can with limited resources.
May the Lord console you in this time that your son’s preference is so painful, as he is young and his judgement very immature. As he continues to grow, may God help him to see you as a great treasure in his life.

Lord please inspire Jerome with inspiration for anything he can do in his limited resources, but protect him from undeserved self-doubt. Please console him in the hurt and bewilderment he feels.
It seems he is doing all he can, but as with many separated partners, he is saddled with hard work and poverty, and his child in his extreme youth understandably lacks discernment.
We ask Your help and blessing for Jerome and his son, and that his boy’s mother will help his relationship with his father as much as possible.
