I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been sick. I’ve been going to the doctor as well as to the chiropractor. My father isn’t doing very well, I’m afraid. Please keep praying.
Jeff, you know we’ve been thinking and praying for you and your immediate family. I know this time is now a BIG test for you and your faith. Don’t lose fiath, hope and/or love!

I’m posting the above quote of yours in the CAF prayer attentions for you.

Thank you for your response, Dorothy. I know my sister loves God, and I take comfort in that. For some reason, she’s scared about going to a Catholic church. I believe that this is why she went back to her old church, even though they were mistreating her. The familiarity of her Baptist church is more comforting than going to a Catholic church. She came to see me last weekend. I’m trying to quietly be a good example.
Hi Jeff,

Quietly being a good example is powerful. Then others may not feel intimidated to ask questions when they are moved to.

I am asking you and others to please say a prayer for me and my daughter Carolyn whom I am going to visit the first week in May.
She has been attracted to “new age” deceptions since she was fourteen years old. She is now forty-eight. A couple of times, over the years, she took a second look at Christianity, but got sucked back up into the deception. She is the one who calls and asks me for prayers, but has gotten frustrated and annoyed when I try to explain about Jesus. She shared with another family member that she cannot accept that He is God, and therein lies the problem.

I need prayers for the Lord’s wisdom, discernment and love, so that in our conversations He can touch her spirit in the way that it needs to be. She is not at peace, and is aware of that, although she is financially successful in her work.

Today, is my morning of adoration at a nearby Church that has Perpetual Adoration of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. I will remember your needs and loved ones, and all those on this thread.

If anyone has advice to offer with regard to my daughter, please feel free to pm me.

Peace and Prayers,

Dorothy

Thank you for posting my prayer request, Edwin. Yes, this time has been a trial for me in more ways than one. Thank you for the reminder not to lose faith. I needed that.

Thank you for letting me know about your daughter. I’ll pray for her. I was involved involved in Wicca for two years when I was in my early twenties, and my sister was involved in it around the same time. (This is my sister Ginger. She’s actually the one who got me interested in Wicca.) I know how seductive Wicca and the New Age movement can be. Let me know how your daughter is doing.

Continuing to pray for you and your family. I am sorry your health is on another bad streak.

Stay prayerful, stay trusting, and you’ll make it with His grace! :gopray:

Thank you for your prayers. 🙂

I PM’ed Dorothy with this link on New Age resources, which I found when searching for Fr Mitch Pacwa authored works and media. Maybe it would be helpful to others:

Fr Mitch came to my parish last year and spoke on the subject.

Jeff, I appreciate the prayers. There is nothing like Christian community, where we can support, comfort, advise, and pray for one another!

Dear Jeff,

Post away to ensure the understanding of not being alone…we will be there for you when ever you need us.

I know fear is a part of these few days, but remember that we are human, and god does not want us to fear…apreciate, learn, and hold tight to the everlasting mercy he holds for us.

Not easy, i promise i understand…but we can support you when ever you call our names.

There is a beautiful person i want to share with you. Her forum name is Shoshana. And in the thread i will post a link to, there is a beautiful meditational item she has posted for us. Prayers to Members of Christs Body…very touching, of how every part of him was sacrificed for us.

Especially in the season/week we are aproaching. I printed it off for personal use myself, but believe it could be a deep and contemplative prayer for you. Have a look…

Enjoy posts 165, 167, and 168…worth it!

Thank you, Lana. Those were great posts by Shoshana.

Hi everyone,
Code:
This is going to be my last post on this thread. My spiritual journey is far from over, but I think this thread has run its course. It's time for me to branch out and explore the forums and start reading and posting elsewhere here. Of course, I might start a new thread at some point in the future. If any of you ever want to PM me, please do. I'd love to hear from you.

 Jeff

I hope that maybe this won’t be your last post ever on this thread… Perhaps we could make it a little safe haven, support group that you can check into without any expectation? I will continue to think about you and pray for you and your family. I will PM you when I NEED to know how your doing. God Bless you and your journey.–Rebecca
