I am not sure how secular Ben Affleck is, but I wonder if he would be willing to travel to iraq and syria and get a guided tour by ISIS of the land they have conquered and how many people they have killed and talk to the people living under the new caliphate.
Or perhaps he could visit northern nigeria and visit with villagers who have lost family to Boko Haram.

Thank you for the information and the perspective. Little as I know, I find al Sisi one of the few rational voices in the Middle East. The MB has been devastating for Egypt. I was there two years ago and our guide said tourism has been destroyed by all of the unrest and the fears of violence caused by the MB and Islamists. I hope that calm and peace can be restored. Egypt has long been a great friend and a bastion of sanity in that region. Further, as the repository of some of the greatest historical sites in the world, it has a great responsibility to help preserve these priceless treasures.

I just heard a unique perspective that makes sense. The Lefties overall have a “blame America” attitude. Whatever happens in the world, it’s our fault. Specifically with respect to Islam they believe that it was we, the USA by propping up the Saudi Royal Family and dictators like Saddam and Mubarak helped create Radical Islamism. They see these Islamists as trying to throw off the chains of oppression of these Western imposed dictators. We all know that the Liberals tend to be anti-Israel as well, siding with the Palestinians although they are the aggressors in the fights with Israel.
Thus because it’s “our fault” for imposing or propping up these dictators, that the people had to rise up, using evil tactics but “necessary” to tear down the status quo, we can hardly complain when these evil groups attack us or our friends. It’s like watching mental gymnastics today watching the Usual Suspects from Holder to Earnest to the NYT avoid using the word “Islamist” when referring to the butchery in France, Australia, Pakistan, and Africa…it’s as if the word will not come out of their mouths. Further there is all of this hand wringing that these bad Muslims will make us decide ALL Muslims are bad and oooooh that would be so horrible. Much less sympathy for the people slaughtered in cold blood…but hey they deserved it for what they did to provoke the Islamists…
God help us these people are in charge of our media and our country. They seem to live in an alternative universe.

Nor do they wish to call these things gods. They insist that all gods are magical sky fairies imagined up by primitives that only just discovered “Rock+Deer’s skull=Food.” Unbeknownst to them, their worship of these new gods harkens back to the worship in heathen temples of yore, before Christianity came and rightfully destroyed the unholy temples of pagans and erected chrurches the true God. Secular liberalism does not defend radical Islam. Secular liberalism is for the freedom of all humans to live as they choose to live, without forcing ones view of living upon another nor rejecting another’s view of living his/her life in the world.
It is this individual freedom and God given right to live as humans, which our brave military men and women continue to defend and protect on all battle fields at all costs in all times.
Terrorist who resist or try and take that freedom from non-Muslims and Muslims who do not follow a terrorist view of Islam, which is paid in every generation with our own blood. Is threatened under the name of Islam by Terrorist.
Secular liberalism is blind in defending Muslims as fellow humans, without understanding the evil powers and principalities which influences Muslims who interpret Islam to convert the world to Islam by fear, death and force, at the same time rejecting the freedom’s our nation’s men and women paid with their own blood.
A terrorist interpretation of Islam, will use secular liberalism blindness to conquer it’s free societies with deceptions.
The deceptions taught from the Quran’s clarion call of war according to a terrorist interpretation is what is gaining ground in western free secular liberal laws.
