See your priest if you can. He probably gets this question a lot.

Anyway, I feel for you. Living as part of IIRC a 1% minority is hard, even in a democracy. At least here there are significant Catholic communities.

I belong to the most populated faith group in the world (if you divide Islam into denominations non will be as high as Catholic Church) but still I feel like I belong to a secret cult here in this country…
 
By the way I found a govermental hospital which trains you for NFP… Is Billings Method good for irregular cycles or should I go for an online course for symptothermal??

I have never used NFP as I was not Catholic during my fertile years and had a tubal ligation before I came to the Church, but I have heard that women with irregular cycles combine methods to accurately predict fertility.
 
Dear fellow brothers and sister,

After one priest telling me he is not going to comment, the other one telling me withdrawal maybe ok and another one I should stop taking Eucharist or search for annul. of my marriage (!)…

I think with the help of her Holy Rosary, Mother of God helped me…

I found some electronic devices for NFP asked my wife and she told me she is totally ok with the devices and will use em for Family planing!!!

Not the question is:

Has anyone here tried them? Which one is better? I know they are expensive and charting does the same thing but as you can see since she is up for this I do not want to miss the opportunity…

I have never practiced NFP as I was not Catholic and had my tubes tied 13 years ago. But I thought maybe I could help anyways, so here goes.

I did a quick Google search for both product names and added the word “review”. The Ovacue got some nasty reviews. Apparently, the vaginal sensor is optional and needs to be purchased separately. A few women who wrote reviews called it an “electronic calendar for $300” and said it was inaccurate compared to other fertility monitoring systems. The total positive and negative reviews were about even. If I were practicing NFP in order to avoid conception or to conceive I don’t think 50-50 reviews would inspire me to use a product.

So, when I ran a search for the Pearly one I got this website. Seems like Pearly, Bioself, and Lady-Comp are good monitors and the site explains how they work.

Yes I did a cross research and looks like Pearly is much better and have few negative comments (well not in Amazon but in Amazon they complain all the time even with any item that I am glad I bought)…

I am glad we have an option that doesn’t look like rocket science to be a God loving family… (thats the main problem with my wife after I spoke with her… She thought it is too much to just have sex couple of days… well I can not truly blame her).

But now we have a new option… If she gets pregnant it will be OK not planned but still I wont call gift of God “accident”… (I do not think it will be riskier than Coitus interruptus anyways)

Pray for us…

When I get it I will write a feed back here… and another feed back after using it for a while.

Hopefully in time my only concern will be confessing venial sins and discussing theology here 🙂
 
I use the Marquette method of nfp which uses the clear blue easy fertility monitor. Please check it out…all instruction is online.
I love the method and combine it with sympto-thermal for my own peace of mind. By itself though, it is very scientific and reliable.

Thanks for advance but the device you tell is using urine-hormone test and you have to kerp buying sticks. Since non of them are avaible in Turkey I want a one time solution.
But it looks like it will work well in US or EU since you can kerp buying urine sticks with ease.

I ordered LadyComp. I will write when I have it and comment again 3-6 months of using. It is expensive but if it works… I could pay twice much if it works for us 🙂 Better to have a empty wallet than a soul full of sin 😛
