I doubt that the priest will be found on this side of heaven. šŸ™‚

How wonderful. So glad she is recovering. A special prayer of thanks from me to the mysterious priest.

Seriously, I think this is great, but…

My 2012 Chevrolet came with On-Star. If I knew a Mercedes came with an angel, I might have spent the extra money.šŸ˜‰

You’d have to search for the other thread but this is worth a read twice šŸ™‚
Mary.

Great article. How can anyone doubt God when these things happen.

This is without a doubt a miracle. Love to hear stories like this.

If I may, when I passed my paramedic test I went to the St. Jude Chapel and give my thanks to St. Jude but above all to God. As I was there the guy who was at the little store was saying that he saw this lady two days before I went there saying that when she crossed from Mexico (she was coming from India) a guy came up to her in the desert, and gave her water. She said that when she got to Dallas she had the urge to walk into the St. Jude Chapel. The guy said that she started crying when she saw a picture of St. Jude, she went and told the man that when she was crossing from Mexico to the USA, she was extremely thirsty and was about to die, when a man came to her and gave her some water. She said that when she saw the picture of St. Jude she knew that it was him who had given her water.
Similar story from a more earthly appearance. A well known surgeon in our town suffered a very debilitating stroke. Early on they were not sure he would live and he was in and out of a coma for some time. As he tells his story, he was in excruciating pain whenever he was conscious and said the pain and imagining his impending death was making his emotional state as painful as the physical. At one point he opened his eyes and saw a figure standing over him. The figure seemed to glow in the light. He said some words, annointed him with oil and prayed for healing. The surgeon said IMMEDIATELY he felt peace and the pain evaporated. He fell back into a deep sleep or semi conscious state. When he awoke he told his wife about the figure and how he no longer had the horrible pain and felt at peace. He had no idea who had come into his room or whether or not it was a dream.

His wife (who was Catholic, he was not) contacted her Parish priest and sure enough, he’d dropped by the hospital to see the Surgeon and annoint him…he didn’t realize the doctor wasn’t Catholic (although obviously it didn’t matter). When she told him what her husband had told her, he was quite amazed but very humble about the incident, giving all praise to Jesus.

I heard this story as a member of the RCIA Team when the surgeon, after a year of rehab was back on his feet and ready to convert! Truly amazing!

I hope that Catholics reading this thread better appreciate the wonderful sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick! Jesus’ graces have helped me too in this sacrament.

Let’s pray for the woman who will be enduring many more medical treatments and pain. May she continue to seek Christ and the peace only He can give us.

Be interesting to hear the follow up. The articles remind me of the Gospel and John and ā€œLiving Waterā€, chapters four and eight.

ā€œIf the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.ā€

This is an amazing story. I have read other commenters say these stories are not unusual. I have never heard of this sort of story before. Has anyone else? Sounds like an Angelic being in human form. Does that occur? Thanks to any who can help me.

This story is now being picked up all major news outlets.

For those who don’t read the articles, this is basically what happened.

A young girl named Katie Lentz, who appears to be a protestant Christian, was on her way to Church on this past Sunday morning around 9:00 am in rural Missouri. Along a rural stretch of road she was struck by a drunk driver in another vehicle. The accident was very serious, reducing her car to nothing but a hunk of metal and giving her serious life threatening injuries. Rescue workers arrived on the scene and worked on the car for one hour, attempting to free her from the mass of wreckage. After one hour, however, they were still unable to free her. The car was simply to distorted. At this point her vital signs were dropping and the rescue workers were starting to lose hope. At this point, Katie yelled out, asking if somebody would pray for her aloud. At that point, rescue workers heard somebody say ā€œI willā€. They turned to see a Catholic Priest, dressed in clerical garb, with holy oil in hand. He approached the car and Katie and said a prayer aloud. Rescue workers said that as he began to speak, a calm descended upon all of them. Apparently, the priest then told everyone that everything was going to be okay, that the rescue workers tools would work now, and that she would be out of the car soon. At that moment, more firefighters pulled up with different tools, and the rescue workers were able to pull Katie from the car and place here on a waiting helicopter. After that was done, up to twelve rescue workers turned to thank the priest, only to discover that he had vanished! The area has been cordoned off for a mile, there was no traffic leaving the area, he simply vanished as quickly as he appeared, without a trace. Furthermore, the Priest does not appear in any of the 70 pictures taken of the accident scene. He simply came from nowhere.

Truly, this is one of the most incredible stories I have ever heard.

Lets just review the miraculous parts of this
  • Nobody saw the Priest arrive or leave the scene. The entire area was cordoned off. Nobody left.
  • The priest does not appear in any of the photographs.
  • The priest does not belong to the local Catholic Church.
  • There is no surrounding building the priest could have walked from.
  • This incident occurred on this rural road at 9:am on Sunday, when most priests are saying mass.
  • This occurred on August 4th, the feast day of St. John Vianney, the Patron of Priests.
  • The physical description given of the priest matches that of St. John Vianney
Did this saint come down to earth to work a miracle?

They are amazing testimony. The specifics may be somewhat unique, and the names and places vary. The first story is a direct connection to the saving grace of the sacraments of the Church. Extreme Unction is well documented and witnessed. As to the larger picture, be it a Priest, a Saint, an Angel, or someone the Lord placed in the gap, it is the Lords Grace. Which is why we should be observant how we treat everyone we come upon, as you may well be confronted with the Truth… With divine mercy comes a responsibility. Which I why I’d be interested in the follow up of these souls. There is no such thing as coincidence with Divine Providence.

The priest was probably an angel who took form of a priest. In performing the miracle, the priest called our attention on the importance of sacramental life.
Thank God for this!
