I still remember the closeup of the eye and that splinter of wood coming together. So many good things I’ve forgotten over the years, but that disgusting scene stays with me 😒

Human centipede

Star Wars VII

Rambo Last Blood

The new paddington remake

The “live action” lion king remake.

  1. Dogma. I was so offended
  2. Star Trek wrath of Kahn (Still can’t eat croissants)
  3. Solo
  4. Poltergeist 3
  5. Back to the future 2

Battlefield Earth- complete utter garbage. I’m a big sci-fi fan and thought it might be ok, boy was I wrong.
I thought it was hilarious. I watch it just to laugh and laugh at how cliché and stupid it is. Some films are so bad they are fun to watch.

Poseidon (2006 remake of “The Poseidon Adventure)

Reds

Last House on the Left

It’s Complicated

Godfather III

I always felt that many of the so-called great 20th century authors enjoyed wallowing in misery.
I hated the film of Steinbeck’s The Red Pony. I’ll never watch it again.

I tried reading a few of his books. Talk about Debbie downers… stopped after the Black Pearl.

Anything with Adam Sandler , lol .
I recently watched the Adam Sandler movie Uncut Gems on Netflix. It was
worse than awful and his acting was atrocious.

Uncut Gems should be added to my list.

The Revenant - not a pleasant happy scene in the whole movie

Rocky Horror Picture Show - why did I go see that?

Tommy - same response as above

Blazing Saddles

2001 A Space Odyssey

Some films are so bad that they are actually “good” and become cult classics, such as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
I absolutely agree.
I draw the line with the Saw movies.
They don’t really bother me (horror junkie, gore in general doesn’t bother me when it’s fake), the first one was actually pretty good, the rest are just stupid.
Avatar

The Irishman (the movie on Netflix with Robert DeNiro)

A Star Is Born (Lady Gaga)

Parasite

The Hills Have Eyes
Besides parasite (I am yet to see it) I liked these movies lol.
Star Wars - the longest most painful two hours of my life.

American Sniper - walked out after 20 minutes.

Tron - second worst two hours of my life.

Inception - I woke up when it ended

Scary Movie - I think we walked out after ten minutes
I liked all of these films, although Scary Movie was more crude than funny.
Human centipede
Agreed, awful movie.
Back to the future 2
I really don’t get the hate for this movie, I loved it & the entire trilogy.

I agree that some movies are so bad that they are “good”, Super Mario Bros is at the top of that list for me, yet Battlefield Earth just isn’t that film for me, once was more than enough IMHO.

I’m going to put in films I disliked as well.
  1. Toy Story 4. I hated it. In my mind it doesn’t exist, Woody still enjoys being a loyal toy.
  2. Grease. I saw it as a child and used to love it. I have never purposefully shown my kids. I hate the fact that Sandy pines away hopelessly devotedly for Danny and he treats her terribly. Then she changes herself for him. Bleh! Lorenzo Lamas was a better catch!
  3. Cider House Rules
  4. The Sicilian
  5. The Blue Lagoon.

Yeah, that Red Pony book was just another in a long series of tropes where kid has a special relationship with an animal and it tragically dies. There were so many of those (Old Yeller is another classic) that whenever a book had a beloved animal companion in it. I would skip to the end to see if the animal died. It usually did. If it did then I generally didn’t bother reading the book.

I can appreciate the literary value of some of Steinbeck’s works like “Of Mice and Men”, “The Grapes of Wrath” and “Cannery Row”, but I never had any use for “The Pearl”. Life’s difficult enough without reading that junk.

actually the only Steinbeck movie I loved was Cannery Row. “The great frog roundup” is still one of the funniest scenes ever filmed and the voice over was great.

I never saw it all the way through until a couple of years ago. I wasn’t impressed, for the reasons you mentioned.

Just one for me… Gremlins 2. It was too chaotic and hard to follow and it got weirder and worse every minute.

Are you kidding? I loved Inglourious Basterds! It’s my favorite movie after Django Unchained.
