Fresh Horses: Late 80s movie in which Molly Ringwald forget midway that she was supposed to have a southern accent.

Ever After: Drew Barrymore couldn’t figure out what her accent was.

Star Was: Episode 1 - Phantom Menace: I watched this in the cinema and never in my life have been more capable of falling asleep with so much noise in the background.

Fifty Shades of Grey: Yes, I’ll disclose to a Catholic forum that I saw it. But I’ve worked with too many domestic violence victims to find it even remotely amusing or titillating. I am a (Gasp! Faint! Clutch pearls!) feminist and couldn’t believe that anyone would find this backlash against women acceptable.

Lego Batman I’ll do crazy things out of love for my children . . . including sitting through this portrayal of Batman at his narcissistic worst.
Cider House Rules
What killed me about this one is that not even abortion got rid of Erika Badu’s problem. She didn’t finally get out of it until she insert-spoiler-here.
Dogma. I was so offended
I wasn’t. The movie was trying mmmmmuch too hard to be offensive that I found it pathetic.

Pretty much every movie I’ve ever seen. I basically don’t watch movies anymore. Or TV. Especially now with God’s wrath coming upon the world. I am sailing off into the sunset and finding a better way…🙂

Empire strikes back
Gladiator
Braveheart
Forest Gump
Saving Private Ryan

Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video. It was like being presented with a horribly infected wound: you want to stop watching, but can’t.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Afterward my wife immediately dragged me into two horribly saccharin chick-flicks, and it was a relief.

I could only think of a few because I usually just remember the ones I liked. These I remember because I was emotionally too young for the content and they gave me nightmares.
  1. Little Shop of Horrors (original, saw on TV) where the Venus Flytrap eats people and pictures of their faces are imprinted on the flowers of the man-eating plant.
  2. The Corpse Grinders (1971) where cat meat and human meat is ground up into burgers, etc. I went to this movie on a dare and the dare won.
  3. Every Halloween movie except the first one with Jamie Lee Curtis. The first one was good, IMO. The rest were low quality, in my view.

His older stuff, happy Gilmore, billy Madison, etc. I’m a fan of. His newer stuff has all been nothing but a way for him and his friends to write off their vacation as a business expense.

Dirty Dancing - Baby needs to sit in a corner
Chucky- Saw this movie as a kid at a sleepover with friends. I could not sit though it
Jackass - So stupid
Grease - boring
Devil’s advocate - I just dont like movies with demons, unfortunately I watched the whole thing
Constantine- I hated this movie so much, couldnt make it past 20 minutes
City of Angels- it was just stupid. I am alsonot a Meg Ryan fan

Here goes:
  1. My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Out of two and a half hours I almost giggled once.
  2. Pearl Harbor. The whole love triangle thing killed it for me. This movie was interminable for me. This was a real disappointment for me because I typically like WWII movies.
  3. Blair Witch Project. I gotta second whoever nominated this one. Was poorly shot (I know, its supposed to look amateurish, but it is so bouncy it becomes completely distracting) and just wasn’t particularly scary to me.
  4. The Ring. I guess I am not into scary movies all that much. This one just didn’t do it for me. I was counting the minutes till it was over.
  5. Anything based on a Jane Austen novel. I just don’t find the process of getting engaged in Victorian England to be an interesting topic.

Star Wars Episode I
Suicide Squad (people need to stop defending that movie, it was terrible!)
Frozen (the best characters in the film were not in it nearly enough, kill off the snowman, give me that dude and his reindeer)
Home (which isn’t terrible, it’s just not as great as my nephew thinks it is)
Toy Story 4 (which was not a bad movie, but it should have ended with TOY STORY 3, LIKE THE MOVIE ITSELF IMPLIED IT WOULD)

Tron - second worst two hours of my life.
I actually liked that one.
Inception - I woke up when it ended
Meh.
Dogma. I was so offended
That’s because it was offensive.
Rocky Horror Picture Show - why did I go see that?
I saw it because my best friend just loved it and insisted on having me watch it with him. I found it boring and repulsive. He was offended by my reaction.
Star Was: Episode 1 - Phantom Menace: I watched this in the cinema and never in my life have been more capable of falling asleep with so much noise in the background.
Yeah. Boring and confusing. And Jar Jar freaking caricature Binks.

Typically I try to draw out the best even from the worst. I see even bad cinema as a learning experience.

That said, the movie “Fight Club” with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, I’ve always despised. Perhaps I should rewatch/reevaluate it but I was just baffled at the lack of any real message it had. For me at least.

Basic Instinct- an erotic crime thriller that does none of those things particularly well. It does have that one memorable scene, however…

The Mist- It’s an overall good film, but the ending is pretty rough.

The Patriot- an egregious offense to anyone who loves history.

Titanic- a big waste of time. My favorite part is when Jack dies.

Ghandi- that was three hours of my life I couldn’t get back. Sooo boring.

BONUS: The Last Airbender. I never had the misfortune to see it when it originally came out, but I’m interested in watching it to see just how bad it is and how much they butchered such a perfect TV series. I’ll probably regret it, but I’m doing it anyway.

Jaws - had trouble swimming at night after that
Borat - I will never believe a sibling again about good movies
Schindler’s List
THX 1138 - time lost that I can never reclaim
Scary Movie - walk-out worthy (as was Borat)
