I’m about to eat partridge, pheasant, turkey, venison sausages and all sorts!
I’ll try to list them later 😆

My eldest son and Waitrose are to blame!
Also crumbed ham, Brussels sprouts and who knows what else.
Mind you it’s nearly a quarter to ten at night and I haven’t eaten yet.

Turkey, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing, bubble and squeak, quiche, beetroot, gherkins, pickled onions, cucumber, lettuce, sausage rolls, pizza slices, and cranberry sauce. Pant!

Actually I probably won’t be able to list it all later, I’m not sure all this food,is even allowed, it feels sinful!

Coffee and tossed salad with vinegar. After the sweets over Christmas, I needed to change it up.

It’s a sweet dough with a fruity tasting centre and sprinkled with icing sugar.

Difficult to describe but very satisfying, I can’t think of anything quite like it.

Best eaten fresh because that way it’s soft and pleasantly doughy, maybe cinnamon involved. Nice. Worth a try, I don’t think you’ll find it hard to get rid of!

🙂
Oohh, that sounds really yummy!

Thanks for your really great and detailed description! If I can still find some, I’ll have to pick some up.

I have heard of people actually toasting it, and eating it for breakfast, too. 🙂

It is 0430, so it is just a cup of black coffee for now. I am debating on making pancakes or waffles. Regardless of my choice I am going to experiment by trying them with Marmite.
Tomorrow it will be split pea and ham soup.

Marmite is a great source of tastiness!

Have you looked up why it’s called marmite yet? 🙂

Different day… two cups of coffee and one bottle of flavored water (no calories!).

I was just reading about marmite. Nigella Lawson mixes it with butter for toast.

I’ve never tried it.

So far, I’m having coffee and milk.

I don’t know why she mixes it except it would be more consistently spread I suppose. Usually I butter the toast and then spread some marmite over it, you don’t need very much marmite to get a satisfying taste.

I’ve been eating marmite for around 58 yrs! I used to eat cornflakes when I was five too, better than porridge at the time. I don’t have either of those anymore though because I need to lose a few pounds and the milk and sugar wouldn’t help much, ha ha.

She would mix it for her children, I guess to make it creamier.

Lol!
It’s so funny when people say that, it’s such a mundane thing really, forgive me it’s just funny.

Marmite is a very tasty black spread, it’s actually very nice and savoury. It’s on twiglets? Milt ordered some online from somewhere, of course we can buy it in all the shops really. Rich in vitamin B I think, and niacin. A yeast extract spread. The joke is that people either love I or hate it, not really true.

A yeast extract spread! Oh, that sounds positively…

not at all tasty, lol!

It’s nice honestly, tangy and savoury, doesn’t taste like yeast.

It’s good for you too.

I have to say that since eating it regularly from the age of five I’ve never ever died.

“Love it, or hate it,” that’s funny!

I do like the jar and label though. I am interested in those kinds of things. 😊

Some supermarkets have a British section with British biscuits, and Cadbury chocolates. I’ll check if marmite is there next time I go shopping.
