Thank you, Lily. Though I’m not anorexic, I know how good it feels to drop weight even when we don’t have to. Twenty lbs. can turn into sixty easily.

Good luck with your recovery! I hope it goes smoothly and no further surgery is needed.

Potluck dinner after Mass tonight…
Chicken and dumplings, pasta and meatballs, kielbasa and rice, sausage and meatballs marinara, wheat rolls; apple crisp and a brownie for dessert. And some great conversation. Our new priest was there, and had a good meal, and a chance to get to know us.
 
A nice salad, mixed grill - applewood-smoked ribeye steak and grilled salmon, cheddar-scalloped potatoes, fresh beets, a fresh wheat roll, and a good IPA…homemade ginger snaps for dessert.

Eggs this morning. Water and 🥤 the rest of the day.

Mama had toast for breakfast, sausage and biscuits for lunch and is having tuna fish for supper.
 
We eat small portions…there’s enough left over for another meal…

I’m glad you’re able to eat something already…I have always enjoyed eggs…

My food is rather limited due to the swelling on the other side of my throat not coming down as quickly. But I have my x-rays tomorrow. So hopefully, all will be well.
 
For our dinner tonight I made oven-roasted honey-barbecued chicken thighs with oven-roasted russet potatoes. I served yellow sweet corn on the side.

I’ve been drinking cold bottled water.
 
At the picnic yesterday, pulled pork, coleslaw, pasta salad, warm chocolate pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, water

Green salad with hard boiled eggs, mixed lettuce, red onions, shredded cheese, bell peppers, beets , forgot to put dressing, but the salad was tasty anyway, banana, water
 
O my. You may have just invented a new drink. One of our technicians is a weekend bartender. I’ll have to ask him for the best peanut butter sake recipe.

A nice salad, and a few slices of sausage and mushroom pizza…from a new place just a couple miles down the road…some of the best I’ve had in a looong time…washed down with a nicely-hopped Oktoberfest brew.
