Barb outdid herself again…Beef Stroganoff with homemade noodles, steamed broccoli and cauliflower with butter sauce, fresh whole wheat rolls…washed down with a very good porter.
 
For our dinner I made an oven roasted chicken, green beans, and baked russet potatoes.

I had some chocolate cake for dessert, and had ice water to drink.

I just had some Hershey’s Miniatures, as I had to eat a snack with some medication.
 
Has anybody made their potatoes hasselback style before? A Swedish restaurant made these famous some years back. Just some slicing involved is all, and an awesome way to eat a potato:

Apple slices, cheese and caramel. It just all of a sudden sounded so good. And it is.😋
 
And just now, 3 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I’m entitled after suffering so long with this flu. I know I will pay for it later. But it sure was good going down. There’s just nothing like Krispy Kreme.😋😋😋😋😋😋

Make that 6 Krispy Kremes. I’m going to have to put them up or I’ll be accused of being a glutton. They are one of my weaknesses,
 
I want a box of 12 Krispy Kremes in front of me right now! Sooooo spongy and fluffy. 🤤

There is a place where I have had donuts that surpass Krispy Kremes, but it isn’t a national chain. It is called Duck Donuts and their donuts are not of this world. Seriously, order some donuts from these people and you will be knocked off your feet.

Tonight in the slow cooker:

Skinless chicken breasts. Cream of mushroom sauce with extra fresh mushrooms added, diced garlic, vegetable broth, whole milk, a little dijon mustard, salt & pepper, and covered in fresh parsley.

I’ll probably boil some brown rice to sop up the leftover sauce.

I’ve been making these for about a year now. They’re really easy and quite good.
I’m all for easy any time I cook 😌
 
Jacket potatoes,zucinni baked with tomato,ham and cheese,roast pumpkin
and “buffalo wings” …and now a cup of tea 🙂

I don’t think I’ve had six Krispy Kremes in my life! LOL I need to eat more.

Whole wheat toast and oatmeal.

The closest location to me is several cities away. Sorry, I’m not going that far for a box of doughnuts. But I’ll keep the link in case they open a location closer to me.

Even tho I did end up paying for eating those Krispy Kremes, I had more this morning. I’m addicted to them.😋😊😋😊😋😊
 
Typical breakfast…Greek yogurt, a bran muffin, an apple, string cheese, and tomato juice.
