The last of the Russell Stover chocolates.

I’ll be having liquids the rest of the day unless I decide to order a sandwich from the deli. (Sometimes, you just gotta have a sandwich! I’m so tired of liquids I could scream.)

liver & tea
I used to eat fried liver with bacon when I was really little, because my Mom used to make it for my Dad, as he liked it.

Then, I outgrew my taste for it.

I do like chopped chicken livers, though.

That’s a dish that my husband’s family will eat. They’re good if they’re seasoned and prepared well. You eat it as a spread, with crackers. 🙂

I also don’t mind giblet gravy, like you would have with your Thanksgiving turkey.

The giblets are the organs from the turkey that you can cook and put into your gravy.

That’s funny OGM, I can eat lambs liver but definitely not giblets and poultry livers 😅
It’s all pretty hearty though,oh, no joke intended 🙂

No disrespect intended but bleech, Bleech, BLEECH!!!

You can keep all that liver. I’d rather eat 🍰🥧🍜🍿🍱🥦🥞🍔🍟🍕

I’m sorry. I haven’t tried to make them that way.

The only thing that I can think of at this time, would be to keep trying and to keep searching for some ideas.

I try different recipe sites, so I’ll see what I can find for you.

The sites that I am posting recipes from, are sites that I visit myself.

I like to stick with easy methods as I get older, as I’ve been cooking for a long time and as I get older, I just like easy and convenient now.

There are some recipes from the Cooks.com website, if you are interested in looking there:

Here is another recipe from the Live Strong website:

This recipe is for baking them in the oven in different versions. It looked too good to pass up:

Alas,I gave up coffee but had a little energy drink today and my eldest son laughed at me and said I hadn’t given up caffine 🤔 😅
I need to stop making excuses.

My same old, same old breakfast - oatmeal with berries and flax seen, 12-grain toast, a little orange juice, green tea.

That sounds a fine breakfast, even if it is the same old same old 🙂
If I feed my pony oats she is bouncing around with energy (I don’t because she pretends to see ghosts also)
Porridge is very heating food I’m sure …I should eat more of it.Sounds like you have a good routine going CL.

It does keep me healthy, GF. The rest of the day is usually salad or soup, with a little fruit, like grapes.

Being ever mindful that this is LENT, Mama had to order desserts. Tiramisu (2), ingredients for Strawberry Shortcake (3), Cannoli (2). All are my weaknesses. My tiramisu is going in the freezer. She can eat hers whenever she wants. She’s 86, after all.

Since I was the one who placed the order for delivery (thank God, before the worst of the rain hits - 4 days of rain), I told her the sugar she wanted ordered is organic. We will NOT order sugar made by companies that use bone char. I pressed the point by saying, “Think of knowing that the sugar you were eating was being made or colored by Baby Zoe’s or Sunshine’s bones.” She said, “I’d throw up.” Once I explained about the bone char, she agreed that she will switch to organic sugar too. (Makes it so much easier when we’re on the same page.)

The order arrived sooner than I expected and yes, I ate one piece of cannoli. I think of Fr Benedict Groeschel every time I eat cannoli. God love him.

I also had water. But I’m going to be naughty and have a glass of fruit punch. It’s been so long.
