Chick-fil-A - Specifically, I had chicken strips, waffle fries, and Coca-Cola Zero. Both the strips and fries were dipped in buffalo sauce.

Had to force myself to eat. Still not wanting to. But we have 2 new kitties (unexpected additions) and I thought it would help break the ice.

2 Dave’s Singles, 1 Double and 1 Chili Cheese potato. Vanilla Frosty (small) to drink.

Date night…hit our favorite Mexican restaurant…
Chips and salsa/pico de gallo. burrito a la diabla [made with carnitas, chorizo, and a house-made hot sauce], grilled onions, rice, refried beans, and a tall Dos Equis Ambar.

Sorry to hear about your friend Lily I’m glad you can help.
So am I. She took in our dog and kitties when Mama was so sick that we needed someone else to take them while she recovered.

I always told her if she needed us to help her with hers to let us know. No one else wanted them (age and behavioral issues). They knew our fur babies from that period. And even tho we hadn’t planned on more kitties, this sudden diagnosis changed things. They’d have gone to a shelter otherwise and most likely, put down. She didn’t want that.

I love them. This person was Mama’s first friend when we moved here 48 years ago and we’ve remained close friends over the years. We’re always happy to help them. Just wish it was under more pleasant circumstances.

Leftovers from Wendy’s. Plan to do Wendall’s today.

Lady Jade is finally out of her box. Growling and hissing, poor dear, but with her brother, Caspar by her side.

So sweet of you to take them in, Lily, and give them a loving home. God bless you all, human and fur baby!

I had a green tea and caramel frappuccino. Not on my meal plan, but I treated myself after the dentist because my implant crowns were beautiful, but not made right and had to be sent back to the lab.

The drinks sound great!

I’m so sorry though, about the dental implants. Another delay for you. 😫 😦

I’m so sorry to hear about your family friend, too.

May God bless all of you! ❤️

Thank you. They can be very difficult to get a perfect fit and these are two side-by-side. I have my temporaries, though! 🙂

A carrot and sweet potato smoothie. Delicious! But tastes like fall! I wanted the beta-carotene, though.

Just had some Ritz crackerd and SOBE water (Fuji Apple Pear flavor).

DGB

For dinner we had some small squares of take and bake cheese, sausage, and bacon pizza.

I had some green Asian salad mix with ginger salad dressing, and some Diet 7-Up to drink.

My husband finished off some cold Deli rotini garden pasta salad with his pizza.

Breakfast was eggs, bacon, toast (w butter and jelly), potatoes and gravy.

Lunch was supposed to be a BLT (gave it to Mama) and fries. It was just the fries.

Mtn Dew for both meals.

Caspar and Lady Jade are the sweetest things (she says as LJ growls and hisses).

Caspar’s age is debatable. Our friend says 16. Her daughter doesn’t think he’s that old. But he had been abused before she rescued him. It took a long time for him to trust again. We’ve known him pretty much from the time she got him. He prefers hiding in closets and cabinets to being around people.

LJ is 8. She was 2 when our friend adopted her. (The note on her cage gave her age.) I was the one who spotted her while looking for a new kitten (Apricot) and tried to get her that day. But our friend said she had to talk to Caspar first. Luckily, she was still there when we went back to have Apricot’s microchip redone.

LJ is very temperamental and slow to trust. She got to know me when my fur babies were staying with them when Mama was so sick that they couldn’t stay with us til she recovered. I went over there twice a day for a couple of months to see our babies and feed them. And I’d talk to and sing to Caspar and Lady Jade too.

A year later, our friend fell and had to go to rehab. Her daughter took the kitties temporarily. When they came back, Caspar loved on his mommy while LJ gave her the silent treatment for a couple of months.

Now we have them. I’ve promised them that this is their furever home and they won’t be going back to the shelter. I am content to be their Auntie. It just seemed right that they come to someone they already knew rather than total strangers.

Caspar and I are already exchanging head butts and pets. Lady Jade is still in her “Don’t touch me” mood. But she’s slowly coming around since I use food to bribe, uh, encourage her. Burgers. Yes, fast food works on the feisty kitty.😁

I’m having bacon sandwiches today.

A nice salad, ham and scalloped potatoes, a fresh wheat roll, and an Oktoberfest brew…peach pie for dessert.
