Parmesan garlic boneless chicken wings, stir fried zucchini picked fresh from a friend’s organic vegetable garden, brown rice, 5 triangles Toblerone, water

I had some low-salt organic popcorn, and some sugar-free pink lemonade water beverage.

I’ve never had Circus peanuts. I’d like to give them a try, as I like those kinds of sweet candies.

I like the Candy Corn mixes that come out around this time of the year–the ones with the candy corn and the little pumpkins in there, too. 🙂

a grilled cheese, with bacon, and saute Chanterelles mushrooms in a Parmesan and white wine sauce

A Dragon Fruit-Lychee smoothie that also contained strawberries, peaches, pineapple, banana, flax seeds, beets, and hemp hearts, but the primary taste was dragon fruit and lychee.

I was a vegan when I was younger until I started having health problems and my mother pushed me to eat animal products. After being no longer vegan, the health problems disappeared.
Fascinating! I was vegetarian, then vegan, as a young man in college, and experienced the same thing. I was quite careful to eat as balanced a diet as possible. Result: anemia, high blood sugar and persistent infections that no amount of treatment could allay. I have been omnivorous again since my mid-twenties, and enjoy reasonably good health.

Interesting. I am not vegetarian, but I don’t eat meat because I don’t like it. Once or twice a year, I eat salmon. I should up that to once a week, I guess. Maybe get a roast beef sandwich now and then. Or a pulled pork.

I had severe anemia. It was so severe that the doctor was talking of a blood transfusion. I was given iron pills and iron injections instead.

I was twelve at the time and my mother got alarmed. I was also severely underweight.

Yes, I had to go on iron pills as well. Friends told me I was white as a sheet of typing paper while I was ill.

I was told the same. Very, very pale and white and I’m not even white.

White people were telling me I needed a tan.

I didn’t like meat when I was younger. But having so many surgeries the last few years, my various surgeons ordered me to eat meat for the protein. So I now eat meat.

Today was shopping day. I didn’t get anything with chicken in it. Just can’t. No eggs. Got a LOT of coffee and cereal. It’s what I do when I am in mourning.

Mass this evening. I’m exhausted but need that time. The readings are so appropriate.

I know I’m not anemic. I just had a very comprehensive blood work up and my iron and B12 levels were normal, probably because I take supplements.

I’m deficient in B and D vitamins. Need to see my dr to be put back on D2 which is prescription only.
