I’m drinking cold bottled spring water.

I had a couple of little Christmas candies…

Some Andies Cherry and chocolate candies, and some Palmer’s Peppermint Bark chocolate mint cups. Yummy snack! 😊 😋

Big salad of lettuce, bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, hard boiled eggs and bacon bits, with ranch dressing and three pieces boneless fried chicken.

Nectarine soda

Leftover Halloween candy

That sounded yummy OGM.
I am about to have a bowl of vegetable soup.
Yes…

We found these candies at the Dollar Tree when we were wandering around the Christmas section there. They had all of the decorations and all of the candies in one section there. 🙂

Empanada and Propel water.

Severe storm weather night. It"s after midnight here. Didn’t eat earlier. Hoping this will help me sleep.

I made a simple recipe that I saw on Facebook.
using a muffin tin, you line with deli ham, then cheddar cheese, then an egg and a little salt. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes.
It was good, except the ham got a little crusty on top.
And of course I had my large mug of tea to go with.

Breakfast: a slice of bread with marmite. I have this every day. I don’t know how this happened. I’ve been doing this for over ten years. Guess I need shreddies, cornflakes, weetabix, anything but marmite!

And a cup of tea.

Have not had breakfast yet, but had leftover gumbo over rice for supper.

Gumbo is one dish where the leftovers taste better than when freshly cooked. The longer it sits around the better it gets.

Had some peaches, which were harvested last summer and dried.

Tastes even sweeter than candy even with no added sugar. Too sweet that I can only eat a slice at a time.

Morning 🙂
I have found that chilli concarne tastes better having been reheated. Probably sounds a bit off but I think perhaps any fat gets slightly fried in the process and that causes it.

I’m going to look up gumbo and see exactly what it is, it’s mentioned often.

(Someone gave me a glass of red wine last night and I woke up with a hangover! I rarely drink, used to, but now it makes me feel ill)

Hope you’re feeling better.

Be sure to keep hydrated. It alleviates hangover effects.

Chili always tastes better after reheating, but it’s so good that it usually disappears quickly…

Old-school dinner…potato pancakes and over-easy eggs…a good IPA…homemade ginger snaps for dessert…

I treated myself to biscuits(the American type) and sausage gravy after I voted this am.

Chocolate crunchie bar, that’s honeycomb covered in thin chocolate.

(Re hydration definately helped @sarcelle thanks 🙂)

Fresh kielbasa, potato and spinach pierogis, steamed cauliflower with cheese sauce, a fresh rye roll, and a very good IPA…homemade assorted cookies for dessert.
