Name the worst movies ever made

1. Avatar-----yes, I said it. Pantheistic, Pagan, Nature Worship Claptrap, plus a screed for the radical environmental movement-----as well as being just plain anti-human (forget the human race dying back on earth who need the mineral from Pandora----the race on this Edenic planet matters more!!!). Even the Vatican complained about this one.

Hahaha, YES!!! I hated this movie as well! I felt like it was James Cameron making a statement about how he felt about us being in Afghanistan and Iraq, instead of making a good movie. To me, it was more of an insult to our military, which left me with a disgusting taste in my mouth. Not to mention that the plot line and characters sucked and they had no depth whatsoever. 3 hours of my life that I will never get back.

Has anyone mentioned Transformers 2 or Avatar yet?

Transformers 2 sucked. I’m still seeing the third one, but see my earlier post on this page for the reason.

I do agree with you that there is a definite Anti-Military, Anti-Colonialist subtext (plus a thinly veiled swipe at our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan) in the movie. Absolutely.

I basically liked Transformers 2. Good old-fashioned mindless junk based on a cartoon from our youths. You disagree, that is fine.
And Megan Fox IS good to look at, one must admit. May God forgive me. (Crosses himself repeatedly and says repeated Hail Marys).

Haha, thanks! The first time I saw Transformers 2, I laughed like crazy. The second time I saw it, I was like, “Wow, this isn’t as good as I thought it was.” I had the same reaction with Iron Man 2 as well. That’s my plan for Transformers 3. See it in theaters, then don’t watch it again, so I can fool myself into thinking that it’s a good movie.

I also very late to this thread, but off the top of my head I would say:

1. Philadelphia---------basically homosexuals are saints, the families of the homosexuals are all accepting and open-minded, and all big business is run by homophobic bigots.
2. The Ocean’s Eleven movies----professional thieves are held up as heroes. Because they, like, only steal from “bad people,”-----ya know?
3. A Time To Kill-----basically vigilante programming for the masses. And no, everybody knows here I’m not a bleeding heart liberal. I lean towards the death penalty under some circumnstances. And I’m for throwing the book at some types of criminals. So don’t tag ME as “one of those,” allright? Frankly, also, I dislike anything John Grisham in general. Scott Turow is much, much better, to my mind.
4. Avatar-----yes, I said it. 5. The Golden Compass------AntiCatholic, Anti-Christian, Anti-Religion propaganda movie, from openly Atheistic fantasy writer Phillip Pullman, who admitted in an interview that he wrote the book(s) to “kill Christianity.” The secular world and media, of course, loved the movies and books. 'Nuff said.
6. An Inconvenient Truth-------yes, I said it as well. Al Gore condescending to you about stuff that may or may not be true. This is your brain. This your brain on the Global Warming Alarmism of Al Gore. Any questions?
7. Paparazzi--------movie star starts killing off the paparazzi whom he blames for the near-death of his wife. Produced by Mel Gibson. Basically an actor’s opinion on what he’d like to do the above. Even Leonard Maltin in his Movie Guide called this “morally repugnant junk.”
8. The Twilight movies--------Mormon propaganda masquerading as epic, modern-day Romeo and Juliet story, where, remorseless, demonic, savage killing machines are shown to actually be sensitive, misunderstood High-School misfits with tortured souls----and who are also, like, british, and so cute! Plus they glitter!! And can be like Gods!!
9. Any movies by Michael Moore-----NOT a documentarian-----really just a maker of left-wing propaganda screeds. My opinion and I’m sticking to it.

I could go on, but you guys get the picture.

The Room - perhaps the worst film ever made. It is a disgrace to film. But it’s bad in an absolutely hilarious way and is actually one of my favourite movies. My friends and I love it, it has some amazing quotes in it.

Samurai Cop - a little heard of 1989 film. Again, a disgrace to film. But so funny. The main actor obviously has his hair cut half way through filming and is replaced with a really bad wig. Since it’s filmed out of sequence you get the hilarious effect having his hair constantly changing. We made a game of it trying to guess which was the wig and which was real.

The Boondock Saints - truly terrible film. I had no idea what was going and couldn’t understand what they were saying half the time. Absolutely appalling. And not even in a funny way like the others I’ve mentioned. Just bad.

Sex and The City - now I hate only seeing half a movie. Like really hate it. I’ll watch a bad movie the whole way through just to have seen the whole thing. I didn’t bother with this movie. It’s that bad.

If you haven’t seen it you should definitely watch Samurai Cop. So bad but so funny.

1. 10,000 BC- Awful acting, laughable dialogue.
2. Boondock Saints 2: All Saint’s Day- I never knew it was possible to use this much profanity in a movie. What really got me was that much of the vulgarity made no sense at all.
3. Eragon- Worst. Book. Adaptation. Ever.
4. Epic Movie- Self-explanatory (although the Cribs spoof was hilarious).
5. The Happening- Interesting story marred by bad acting, and bad script. However, this movie is also an unintentional comedy, so it’s still enjoyable.

It was everything you would expect from a modern sci-fi b-movie, sadly including falling into the gutter of implied sexual disorder (fight scene between Tiffany & Debbie Gibson). However, blessedly because it is made for TV there is but so far they can take it, and it passes quickly. You then get thrown right back into the awful CG body count.

All in all, a wonder (bad) movie but with all typical modern caveots firmly in place.

   these are all well accalimed foreign films and has numerous awards internationally.just saw the no.1 flick.its a documentary and may open your eyes about immigration issues,regarding children who crossed and died along arizona desert.you need at least one hanky.

I had just watched number 6 on your list (“The Painted Veil”) with Naomi Watts. It was a good movie. So one evening soon after while I was flipping through channels, I saw Naomi Watts and stopped on the channel. Big mistake. The movie was “Funny Games,” and it still bothers me when I think about it. It was truly disturbing. My post about it from earlier in this thread follows.

I am late to join this thread, so I don’t know if anyone has posted this or not, but “Funny Games” (2007) is an awful, violent, stunningly disturbing, depressing movie. It is truly awful. I kept thinking something good would happen at the end, that good would win. That did not happen. While flipping through channels one evening, I only stopped on it because it had Naomi Watts in it and I had just seen her in something else, so I was curious. I shouldn’t have stopped. It was awful.

The worst movie for me would probably be “A Streetcar Named Desire”. My high school drama teacher made us watch it and UGH! SO BORING! I think I dozed off while watching it. (Then again, I am not a fan of black and white movies–they give me headaches.)

Oh, and that remake of “The Wicker Man” with Nicholas Cage–it’s like the original with no musical numbers and more misogyny and straw feminism!

Plus Timonthy Dalton as some kind of swashbuckling jungleworld prince. And who could forget that tree stump where you stick your arm in it hoping you won’t get stung.

For some reason, I find that movie watchable. I can’t say it’s good, but it’s watchable unlike, say, Zardoz or Enter the Ninja (Return of the Ninja is much better for a B movie).
