Name the worst movies ever made

Night of the Lliving Dead* (!!!)

i couldn’t watch it… left before half over…

So now to address the question you all must be asking…

Why would someone as obviously intelligent, erudite and morally upstanding as Distracted, watch something like this?? 😃

It was about 50 yrs ago… when i wasn’t so intelligent… and etc… 😦

but at least i was intellligent enough to see - in the first few minutes of this worthless piece of trash… that it was unwrothy of my time…
 
Another movie that goes without saying but deserves mention is The Da Vinci Code. Let’s make a stupid un-historical novel into a movie. What was Tom Hanks thinking when he accepted the male lead? I especially love the two male characters discussing the "sacred femine " hooey while talking down to the “dumb girl” character whose supposed to be a police detective.:doh2:
Ron Howard’s review of his own movie:“See my movie don’t see my movie it’s a krappy movie.” What finer praise for his work from the director himself!

i never read DV Code 'cause Christians told me it was stupid… i took their word for it…

I would definitely disagree with this one. One could argue that since I was a teenage girl at the time, my opinion would be a bit skewed. But, I have watched it recently and still love it. It is a beautiful love story.

As for the worst movie ever on my list:

Clockwork Orange.

Okay, critics love it. I think it is disgusting. Some friends of mine rented it when I was in college. I managed to sit through it, but I will never watch it again. I’m sure that I could come up with movies that are poorly directed, poorly acted, or just plain stupid. But, IMO this is the worst movie ever.

I know what you mean. I had seen Shakespeare in Love and would have recommended it to my co-worker to watch with her daughter except for one scene. It seemed to be gratuitous and it was completely unnecessary for the movie.

There’s another movie that was so bad it was hysterical that was shown on TNT’s “Monstervision” with Joe Bob Briggs. I think the name was “Legend of Boggy Creek” made with all locals in some little town outside Texarkanna AR .It’s a movie about a bigfoot who looks like a guy in a gorilla suit. It has a love song as it’s theme all about this poor creature being the last of it’s kind looking for a mate. The best line is where these 3 girls are having a slumber party in this trailer out in the woods and the bog monster attacks the trailer shaking it complete with really fake screams after it runs away. This one girl asks the other two very non-chalantly,“Y’all want a coke?”:eek:

no, Night of the Living Dead is the worst movie ever… Ok, so i can’t say since i didn’t watch the whole thing… but if the end or middle is anything like the beginning, i rest my case…

i saw Clockwork Orange because, amazingly, it was part of a classroom assingment in a college class i took yrs ago… I didn’t have to choose that movie but i was curioius because i’d heard of it… I stopped watching after the first few minutes… :eek: I know what you are talking about…

but then the instructor said that there really was a message in the movie… so i finished watching it. I didn’t think it was a bad movie at all… i think it says something about human nature… i’m not sure those who produced it wanted the msg that I, personally, got .but this is one message i got: Basically, in society, you are d— if you do and d---- if you don’t… once you are labeled a “criminal”… but that may be just what i got out of it…

in any case, there are other messages from that movie…

and Malcolm McDowell… it was worth watching just to see him… 🙂

reminds me of soemnthing Ann Coulter said about movies these days, something abuot how all women are portrayed as though they can’t wait to take their shirts off… :rolleyes:

I was thinking the same thing long before i read that… and i am sure most christians could say the same thing… everywhere you turn the dial its like that… people fornicating on their first date… if they even bother to have a date… but its especailly bad when women are portrayed… and seemingly ALWAYS portrayed as the ones wanting sex… You can tell that men write these scripts… sick men, that is…

this is why i don’t watch TV… my mind is sinful enough as it is , thank you…

(even so, i can’t imagine *initiating *sex with a man [not to even mention going all the way…] when not married to him… but i guess i am oldfashioned). :rolleyes: i mean, i can see kind of falling into something, out of passion and stuff like that… but to initiate sex!! ripping the guy’s shirt off… that is totally bizarre to me… foreign to my nature… and i would think MOST women’s natures… :confused:

Loved the soundtrack but, hated the movie thought it was creepy. When I was looking for the soundtrack at Independant the clerk first offered me a DVD cheerfully refused:D

Much like certain scenes in the otherwise-recommended film The Green Mile.
 
Night of the Living Dead, which was filmed somewhere in back of Butler, PA., had the
best special effects with their stuffed sausages substituting for human guts!

“Chilly Billy” Cardell was in it. And those Pittsburgh accents were great. No one knows how to do it better than the locals.

🤓 I happen to know for a fact that Miss Edwards was on the grassy knoll. In a pink leather miniskirt.
I heard this firsthand from the second cousin (4 times removed) of the eldest aunt of my last neighbor-but-two on the north who was in the sky over Dallas in her pajamas, levitating, and Miss Edwards waved at her.:whacky::whacky::whacky:

Or to try. They’re not always successful. Looking back on it, I think this may have
been about “trust” and “prejudice.” The hero is mistakenly killed at the end. People
try to survive a strange plague; one man does, and in the morning he is killed by
frightened hunters. They take one look at him and he’s a gonner.

I like thoughtful films. And, no, I’m not a misanthrope. Didn’t bring this film up.
Someone else did.

i vote for Night of the Living Dead…

even worse than that pet detective one…

(and this from someone who didn’t see the whole thing…

The lady in the pink leather miniskirt was my sister(altough she was only 8 at the time) Miss Edwards told me.
