I absolutely hated Chicago. I wanted to walk out, except I was with several other people who are BIG musical fans. I had no idea it was a musical. The last decent musical ever released was My Fair Lady.
My sentiments exactly. Those SAW movies. The brutality is awful. Not good. Have to wonder what is going on in the creator’s mind.
Agree, dittos, except for “The Omen” and especially “The Exorcist.” I love both films. The original Exorcist is an awesome film IMO. Great flick.
- All of the “The Omen” franchise suck- in particular the very last one, with the girl playing the part of the spawn of the devil.
- All of the “Exorcist” franchise- why the first movie is so popular is beyond me…
- I"'ll always know what you did last summer"- the last movie in the trilogy was horrific. How dare the produce ruin such a great horror franchise!
- Scream 3- the last movie in the trilogy was horrific. And Scream is the signature 90’s horror flick- and my favourite horror franchise!
- Starwars- the movie released in 2009. What the h-e double hockey sticks was the plot all about??
- Righteous kill, with De Niro was horrible. Both he and Al Pacino looked like they belonged in a retirement home, not fornicating with women half their age and chasing bad guys. 50 Cent was in it too, and I cannot abide him and his music.
- Vanhelsing- the one with the guy from X Men- I can’t recall his name. The movie was far too long and drawn out.
- The Godfather franchise- all of the movies! The book was poorly written, but I love Mario Puzzo’s ideas and prefer his books over his movies.
Well it would be pretty corny if George Romero had put it all into a God-context and have Jesus send zombies to pillage the earth LOL…Not every movie should be or needs to be in a Christian context to be good commentary on the human condition or cynical about it. Would you criticize Tolkien for not putting his characters into a “God context?” He was a devout Catholic and never once has God, Christianity, or even religion in his stories to convey points. The “dead” series is a study in human behavior and how sometimes we have more to fear from each other than outside fears from the animal world or nature or science gone bad. It had nothing to do with God nor should it really. Star Wars has a son-redeems-the father theme but God was utterly absent from the context yet I enjoyed it?Yeah, but it’s done in a Godless context, which pushes my voluntary-human-extinction-movement-we-are-a-cancer-upon-the-planet buttons.
No like. Not one bit.
Other baaad films without the redeeming amelioration of unintentional hilarity:
Fatso (I think that was the name? A dirty little nothing of a film rife with immorality and just plain dirt).
Grey Gardens (a documentary, I’ll grant that, but one of the most horrifying and depressing films of all time for that).
No redeeming qualities, pure blood and guts, torture, idiocy. I wouldn’t even watch these movies. They’re not scary and not suspensful. Dumb.My sentiments exactly.
Horror is my favourite genre, but 1 hour viewing of Saw let me know that what I was watching was not entertainment, but the workings of a twisted mind.

And yet since LOTR is one of the most sublime CATHOLIC works ever produced (even in the words of the author) I must respectfully disagree.Well it would be pretty corny if George Romero had put it all into a God-context and have Jesus send zombies to pillage the earth LOL…Not every movie should be or needs to be in a Christian context to be good commentary on the human condition or cynical about it. Dawn of the Dead on internet movie data base scores 8/10 stars with over 37,000 votes. That is extremely high. Night of the Living Dead scores 8/10 as well with 34,000 votes. Day of the Dead scores 7/10 with around 19,000 votes. So, obviously the idea of “worst movies of all time” is absolutely, totally absurd with regard to these films from the point of view of classic film fans. Now I’m sure you’d say American film-goers are idiots LOL but these Imdb.com folks are movie buffs and usually call it pretty much accurate. Most movies on imdb are under 7 out of 10. So these buck the trends.
Now Plan Nine From Outer Space which indeed IS a lame movie, scored 3.6 out of 10. Queen of Outer Space, an awful, hilariously bad film with Zsa Zsa Gabor, scored 4.1 out of 10. Beast of Yucca Flats scored 1.6 out of 10!!! Dracula vs. Frankenstein 2.4/10. These are example of stinkeroo movies!
For one thing Bill Murray, I can’t stand him. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it and I can remember walking out of the theatre thinking what a waste of time that was.I haven’t seen it. Awful in what way?
.
Hmm. I might have to see it for myself, unless it’s blatantly immoral and/or nihilistic. For one thing Bill Murray, I can’t stand him. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it and I can remember walking out of the theatre thinking what a waste of time that was.
I do not think you could collect enough of my friends and get a big enough keg to get me to watch either of those movies.I believe I must watch both those films, with a crowd of noisy friends and a keg of beer…![]()
This afternoon, I was at leisure and decided to watch TV. Lo and behold, 'Shaun of the Dead ’ was on!Did you ever see Shaun of the Dead? It was so amazingly stupid that it was funny - in parts.![]()

Sailor,And yet since LOTR is one of the most sublime CATHOLIC works ever produced (even in the words of the author) I must respectfully disagree.
I despise nihilism. That is why I can not enjoy the zombie flicks. And please do not put words in my mouth; I do not nor never have said American film-goers are idiots but the ‘opinions’ of Imdb I take with a boulder of salt.
I try to live by the Word, even though I fail miserably most times. I would look to that Catholic film board if I wanted someone else’s movie opinions (other than mine).
Reference my post about Yucca Flats somewhere above. Not one mention of an Ed Wood’s movie, not one mentions of an Alejandro Jodorowsky’s movie, not even a single mention of Plan 9 From Outerspace. I am setting myself for stones to be thrown but I do not believe anyone who had replied so far can fairly make any judgment on naming the worst movie ever made.
Moreover, I still stand by my nomination.
The Beast of Yucca Flat.:hey_bud:
I have an increadably vague memory of Beast of Yucca Flats. I remember it being on TNT’s Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs and there was something about a mine and that’s about it. Genuinely memorable movieReference my post about Yucca Flats somewhere above.
