Has anyone named their Guardian Angel? I read in a book about Mother Angelica that she talks to her Guardian Angel and names him “Fidelis” for “Faithful”. I thought this was a great idea and named mine “Opus” for “work”. A Guardian Angel is frequently forgotten about in today’s world, and I am so grateful for the often thankless work my angel does for me. I, a sinner, am so beyond the worthiness of having such a glorious protector, that I have to thank God’s Divine Mercy for the privelege. So, I was just wondering, does anyone else have a name for their angel?
When I was a protestant we had no concept really of guardian angels as such…just a hodgepodge of angels who did things for us, not an angel who stayed by our side. :doh2: But I knew I had a protector (and he has worked overtime through the years
) and no one could tell me different - it was revealed to me through prayer. I still neglect to thank him, and forget that he is there - until something happens that only he (Or God directly) could do for me (I have come to recognize such things…remember the overtime thing?) then I say thank-you. So - thank-you for the thread…I will remember for a time again that my protector is near. :extrahappy:
