She is very old. She is probably at the end of her career.
She’s 79 which is not exactly “very old.” There are plenty of other members of Congress who are older. Dianne Feinstein, the senator from California, was reelected to another 6 year term in November 2018 at age 85 and she’ll be 87 this coming June.

My comment was in response to:
I have yet to meet anyone who called themselves devout who were not acting in pure self interest
Those who are devout recognize they can always be more devoted and do better and don’t brag about how they are doing in the journey.

Age affects everyone differently. Biden and Sanders are about the same age. Sanders is sharp and full of energy, while Biden often talks incoherently.

My impression of all the faces and mouth twitching and ripping of to the paper is that she’s warped from years of political partisanship and hatreds and the lust for power. I could not look at her at the State of the Union. She seemed to have some kind of mental illness and I felt bad for her.
rash judgements and calumnies…

These run so counter to Christ’s message.

Considering scripture uses use most of those terms you aren’t going to bait and guilt trip me. Try your holier-than-thou tactic on someone else.

Kindly show me the Scriptures where it says we are to say these things about people we dislike?

I dislike her? You are doing to me what I was accused of doing. I said the terms were used in Scripture. We are allowed to have opinions and impressions about people.

I just looked, “warped” is not in any of the approved translations of Scripture.

To use “mental illness” as a slur also not in Scripture, nor is it seemly

Please don’t mischaracterize the word of God. You may not like what I had to say, but the name calling is totally unnecessary.

Is Nancy Pelosi a nun?
No, she’s a politician and behaves accordingly. The bigger story is the issue I identified. [One needs to watch the video at the top of the thread to see that.]

And not what I was talking about in my original comment. I was focusing on Nancy Pelosi.

That’s fine. Your comment was: “ I am tired of seeing threads on politicians on both sides of the aisle.” The thread is not really “on politicians”, but on the more substantive issue presented in the OP through the video linked in the OP. This is clear from the words in the OP viz: …
She was indoctrinated by radical nuns.
Watch this to see what I mean
The video makes that point and highlights the failure of the church to properly address errant religious.

I was responding to someone else’s comment about being tired of political bickering.

The tone of “let’s judge how good of a Catholic this person is” threads is counter to our duty to be demonstrating love.
Many responding to the OP have turned the thread into that, but that’s actually not the subject of the OP. Regrettably, the majority of posters seemed to have seen the thread as just another political thread, bashing or judging another politician. I suspect very few watched the video - and thus entirely missed the actual, and larger issue.

Context. She constantly lies about him. Constantly undermines him, especially when he accomplished what she has previously claimed she valued. Her actions tearing up the speech, having her minions dress alike in protest against his great record…her entire history of behaviour in the past three years demonstrated that she is obsessed with hatred for the man.

Again, political theater. But if you’re concerned with her allegedly being hateful and lying, then pray for her extra hard. When people annoy us, that is a sign that they need our prayers. Or perhaps, that we ourselves need the benefits of doing the praying in order to be more patient and loving towards them.

For Christian, we must do good for and love our enemies, for Christians, kindness matters.

Thanks for telling me what to do. I couldn’t figure it out before
