What about partial birth abortions, were they not outlawed by the GOP controlled congres?. So much for doing nothing! Just wait until the Supreme Court starts ruling on some of the cases that will overturn Roe v Wade.

Nancy is that you? Hows the weather out west?
That’s may be true, but they got until January. After our Dem friends take over, no judge who might, possibly, thought to be, afraid to be pro-life will ever make it through the Judiciary Committee much less come to a vote. I think Justice Stevens is just waiting for the right time to retire. This may be it but he would be better off waiting to see if we get a Dem president next time. Then he/she can nominate one as far left as Stevens, he who finds things in the Constitution that are not there.

The Catholic Church is not a democracy and attempting to judge it based on how its adherents behave or vote is irrational.
You know this and so do I, but I’ve come across more than a few evangelicals who are completely misled (and disgusted) with Catholicism based on what they think “Catholics are like when it comes to their faith” due to to people like John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and even Madonna (God help us).

Well, America, there it is. The person who is third in line for the presidency.
Actually, Speaker of the House is SECOND in line. President pro tempore is third in line.

BTW, I’ve heard some buzz that Cheney could resign. Any idea why?

Agreed. Other religions look at Catholics like John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi and they lose respect for what it means. And they watch a Catholic Church that refuses to reprimand them and priests and nuns who are obviously not being respectful of our faith. Yet on left wing issues I see Priest do and say amazing things on things like immigration. Priests never publically come out against abortion like that. I see the heads of other religions get involved and loudly proclaim our views. Our Popes do well, but the Cardinals and Bishops dont at least not as much as they could.

Well, America, there it is. The person who is third in line for the presidency. Better hope The president and VP remain in good health.

.
Well, I hope they remain in good health. But both should resign immediately. Then Pelosi will be the president. As an incumbent in 2008, she would prevent Hillary from getting the nomination. With a two year majority in both houses of congress and with the presidency, she and her cohorts could not fail to show their true leftist, anti-life colors, and go down to defeat in 2008. Better two years of purgatory under Nancy than eight years of hell with Hillary.

Just think how American history would be different if past Americans behaved the way that current Americans do … * John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, etc: You know, I am personally against abortion but it would not be right for me to impose my personal beliefs on others …
  • Abraham Lincoln: You know, I am personally against slavery but it would not be right for me to impose my personal beliefs on others …

Haven’t heard that rumor. I am going to check with some of our political insiders who hear these things long before we do.

isn’t heresy the obstinant post baptismal refusal to believe what the church teaches regarding certain things that are either doctrines or generally held as good for us? And letting it be known to others (scandal) that this is how you feel? Abortion as taught by the church is a grave moral evil. Nancy Pelosi with all her “children this, and children that” makes me want to vomit.

peace and love
