Probably should have said “Most people whose opinion I value” which would eliminate any confusion.

I am well aware that I have criticized the behavior of the boys.
I am very surprised and disappointed that that criticism is equated with vilification.

The boys did not misbehave.
Claiming they did so, particularly in light of the events, is vilification.

The decade I would pray for him would come at the expense of someone I actually care about who also needs prayers so I’m going to take a hard pass…

It’s a good idea. I usually have a whole list of intentions at the start of my rosary. He definitely needs prayer.

Did we not learn anything about jumping to conclusions before we have all the information? At this point the CNA is the only media source for this incident and I’m not convinced that the photo of the man on some stairs is actually Mr Phillips or that those are the stairs to the Basilica.

So it looks like the drumming was by the not the building…not sure how this could have disrupted the Mass. I’ve never been to the Basilica but all the pics I’ve found show a different type of handrail…
 
I would hope that is the case, though I question the credibility of the CBC, who claims in the beginning that Phillips was surrounded and harassed by teens in MAGA hats, when everyone but them (and John24) realize now that didn’t happen.

Apparently, they were breathless to report on a very recent potential Mass disruption, but basic facts that have long since come out still allude them.

Kind of makes their reporting suspect.
