No not really.😦

But it sounded good?šŸ˜‰

I watched the whole thing. One could do a rebuttal on it. A lot of verses taken out of context and single verses utilized.

I wish I was retired or a widow sometimes. I would be a full time rebuttalist for stuff like this.
Oh…

Because I swear I can’t get it to work…
Every time I try my browser has an error and then it closes.

Which cause me to open up a new browser window…

It would certainly be a full time job…

It would be and I honestly don’t know that it would make much difference. Some people are just determined to believe what they want regardless of the facts.

Goitalone wants bring us the SDA version of the truth, period. He is not intersted in learning what the Catholic Church teaches because he is convinced that it is wrong. Just as we are convinced that Adventism is wrong. I have no problem with that in itself. I just don’t like it when one tries to make you out to be the bad guy if you don’t accept what he says or if you try to defend your position.

Most SDA’s I have delt with get very angry and abusive when they are faced with things about their doctrine that they can’t explain or prove. It’s sad, but true. That is not to say that they are the only ones who do it or that there are not some Catholics who get that way too.

This is why I said on another thread that most Adventists would dismiss tracts that try and defend the Catholic position. Just as I dismiss the JW, and Mormon tracts that come to my door.

Okay, I’m rambling but grew up Adventist and am so glad to be out of it. I am trying to be a good representiative of my faith since I am the only one. But I do get tired of the attacks. (Not from my family per se, but in general.)

Sorry for my sudden return, but…I felt I just had to post this…

We will all continue to see and hear of many more beckonings like the following in the near future until the day is finally called forth to us all to reclaim Sunday (the false Sabbath) by all nations and in the end, inevitably be inforced into law and then jail or death for those who will undoubtedly oppose a national Sunday law.

In a Feb. 9 letter to pastors and parish life facilitators, Bishop Baker encouraged Catholics to begin the diocesan celebration of 2007 as the Year of the Family by reclaiming the Sabbath for God and family.

ā€œBecause we have become distracted, overworked and overcommitted to outside activities, Sunday has become just another workday,ā€ he wrote. "I challenge each of you to restore Sunday as a gift from the Father for the family to appreciate one another.

ā€œWe have lost the peace that God created for our day of rest, and we all should actively seek ways to invite God into the center of our families,ā€ he added.

He quoted from Pope John Paul II’s 1998 apostolic letter, ā€œDies Dominiā€ (ā€œThe Day of the Lordā€): ā€œSunday is the day which recalls in grateful adoration the world’s first day and looks forward in active hope to ā€˜the last day,’ when Christ will come in glory and all things will be made new.ā€

Bishop Baker also made several suggestions to make this a reality:
  • Pray a parish rosary once a month followed by a covered-dish dinner with fun activities for youths and children.
  • Plan a pilgrimage to a favorite religious site, such as the Shrine of Our Lady of South Carolina-Our Lady of Joyful Hope in Kingstree or to Mepkin Abbey in Monck’s Corner.
  • Allow a member of the family to share 15 minutes of Scripture reading.
  • Refrain from any labor, shopping and any private activity that conflicts with prayer or family involvement on a Sunday.
  • Try to organize activities with other parents and adults to enrich faith and friendships on Sundays while children or youths are involved in faith formation.
Bishop Baker closed his letter by proclaiming each Sunday in the statewide diocese’s Year of the Family a day of prayer for the family.

It’s not that far off, and it’s not that hard to it see quickly flailing our our way.

You missed the secret letter we all got sent that said to prepare for the return of the inquisition and to get a list of all the sda names in our area.

The word of God the Bible shows that the apostles worshiped on The first day of the week Sunday.
Acts 20:7 ā€œOn the first day of the week when we gathered to break breadā€¦ā€

The ā€˜breaking of the bread’ refers to the Lord’s Supper (See Acts 2:42). If they were worshiping on the Sabbath, why hold the Lord’s Supper the day after?

ST Cor 16: 1-2 ā€œNow, in regard to the collection for the holy ones, you should also do as I ordered the churches of Galatia. On the first day of the week each of you should set aside and save whatever one can afford, so that collections will not be going on when I come.ā€

Please explain to me why SDA choose to believe the writings of Ellen G. White over the Scriptures.

I pointed this out here and on other threads. The SDA response is that the ā€œbreaking of the breadā€ is merely a meal, not the Lord’s Supper. Of course, I pointed out the fact that the whenever ā€œbreaking of the breadā€ is mentioned in the NT, it is in referrence to the Eucharist (or has Eucharistic overtones, as in the feeding of the multitude).

The SDA response is that Paul didn’t want the Corinthians to break the Sabbath by exerting themselves in taking up the collection. Of course, the example of Jesus in healing on the Sabbath and stating that ā€œit is lawful to do good on the Sabbathā€ mean nothing to them.
Please explain to me why SDA choose to believe the writings of Ellen G. White over the Scriptures.
Good question, but not one we’re likely to find an answer toā€¦šŸ¤·

Oh…

Because I swear I can’t get it to work…
Every time I try my browser has an error and then it closes.

Which cause me to open up a new browser window…
Well, guess what that means!

You need to fix yer PC.

Hi Charlie:wave: …

My PC is fine… šŸ‘

My hubby (PC tech) doesn’t understand why it won’t work.🤷
Everything else does… šŸ‘

I can view other things… the only thing I can’t do is view the link you gave. It just errors out and closes the browser window.

Like I said, it could just be a [SIGN]sign[/SIGN] that I should do better things with my time. :coffeeread:

Most ā€œPC techsā€ don’t know piddle.

And yes I am sure it was probably a sign, but not from the Lord.

šŸ˜‰

Oops…also, yer PC is not fine if it won’t play a simple google video.

Thanks!

You need to do a virus scan with a good scanner (if you could actually say there still are any) and scan with some spyware scanners, adware/spyware removers, update to all latest software etc.(don’t get IE7 though, it s*cks) And if you have an error, that would be helpful too in determining what the cause for this is. If you can’t figure out how to fix a problem with PC that gives you a direct error then you don’t know piddle…if you even care to find out) I don’t think you even give a rats behind about this particular show I posted or if your PC is working ok, but IF you want your PC to work right (though you probably don’t even care one way or the other) then this is what you need to try…if none of this works to fix the problem, then the error that it gives should provide you with all the info you need to seach and deal with the problem (which is most likely Satan)

Also, what browser are you using?

Oh and again, thanks for all your uncharitable comments (and I know I have had my share as well) but this always tempts do the same. Because of comments like I have recieved here is where mine started in the first place.

You could probably go to the 3abn and fing the Amazing Facts section to veiw it if you really wanted to, which you probably don’t. It’s just the same stuff that keeps going around and around on the Adventist based threads. Its just polished up in a nice pretty package.

Sorry Goitalone, as Godhead says, we just don’t buy it.

I am bored and wanted to talk so I am here because I had nothing better to do myself…brb though, I am going to get some beer…I am lost anyways apparently.

We had an sda in our town who used to rave over the radio about the evil Catholics. He was a rabid bigot. I sent him a postcard from Spain saying the Inquisition had heard about him and was planning to deal with him. I said I was bringing a new rack home to the parish and invited him over to try it out. The guy spent MONTHS talking about it on the radio. He seriously believed it, no sense of humor at all. He became the laughing stock of the town. The local sda’s were livid because people saw them for what they were. There is a lesson there goitalone.

My PC is fine… I can play other google video just not the one you posted. As for hubby, he does a great job. After all I don’t work becuase the money he earns is enough to cloth, feed, and give shelter for our family.

Already have done this… Do it every day! (hubby insists on it)

Not true… but that just my opinion. Just like it’s your opinion that it means that we don’t know ā€œpiddleā€.

It doesnt’ matter if it’s IE or Firefox I get the same issue

Where have ā€œIā€ been uncharitable?

No, you cannot find it on their site, as I uploaded it myself and it is not found anywhere else that I am aware of so far.

First, I wasn’t selling anything to any of youI know none of you in this forum believe in anything but the Pope and prayers to deceased Mary’s grave (which is completely unbiblical)…Just posting a video to watch that had great graphics and what I believe to be the closest thing ever produced to how the end will truely be seen to all of mankind.

And not buying what, the Godhead album?

Eh, doesn’t matter.

Then neither one of you were acting like Christains then eh?

Oh, I know I’m not, so don’t even bother with a come back on that one.

Anyways I got to get some beers before it is too late.

What uncharitable comments are you referring to? Considering what you said about PC techs I’m not sure if you have alot of room to complain. I know I have not attacked anyone personally, just questioned their postition or doctrine. Can you say the same?

I was very Christian. I was nice enough to send him a postcard during my vacation. If he had got the point and realized his lunacy he would have laughed. He would have realized his bigotry was just plain nuts. But he couldn’t do it. I don’t think you can either. Maybe more beer will help.

There is no conspiracy. If there was you would never know about it. Paranoid delusions are just that.
