This year, in the General Calendar, the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart will be omitted to give way for the Solemnity of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist on June 24 (Saturday).
Our Diocese has released a circular already that the Mass to be used on the 24th (for both Morning and Evening Masses) is that of the Solemnity. They have also decreed that the Sunday obligation can be fulfilled by attending the evening Mass of that day.
The question is: In those places where the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the titular or its co-patroness, and is celebrated as a Solemnity, will they omit their celebration this year ?
