Tom of Assisi:
Why adhere to morality, when you can create your own morality?
Or … why adhere to morality, when you can believe all your misdeeds can be erased by one act of faith, and that those humanitarians who just have not accepted that faith are destined for eternal torment?

i can’t think of a bigger bunch of dorks then satanist. the sad thing is the u.s. will be next to allow this kind of garbage if we keep getting more and more liberal and gay.

Why indeed? Good thing I’m a Catholic and therefore know this isn’t true.

  1. What misdeeds are erased by one act of faith - in whose church is that.? Not mine.
  2. Who are humanitarians as a “class”?
  3. We do not hold that those who do not accept our faith are destined for torment.
Again, you speak in loose generalities and make no mention of who it is you are speaking of.

I think it comes from the mistaken notion that all ideas are of equal value; all standards are of equal value etc. - It is not logical or clear thinking and thus only leads to non-sense.

I think only the Laveyist’s concider themselves as atheists, they are sensationlists and should be seen as that. But there are allot satanists or occultists who do infact believe in him as a deity. Some of them are very scary. Their rituals and pratices can be and are horrific. They take the term Anti-Catholic to a literal term.
Again this makes no sense; if you are athiestic, why would you label your “religion” with the name of an entity which has always denoted “the evil one” ?

I am not sure why they do that as well. But the few Laveyist’s I knew were actually athiests, and they believed in no deity of any form. I think its also part of their “Official” Charter. Also they are not a “religion”, but a belief or philosophy. But in a nutshell they believe that satan is a metaphor for the more powerful of the 2 distinct pysche’s of the human emotion of Good or Bad. They feel that the bad side is more enjoyable and can lead to a more prosperois life on earth. Which I quess could be true if you make a pack with the “Ruler of Earth”. If you want you could go read their website, but it would not be worth your time I would think. Just treat them as they are, a bunch of whacko’s.

I am dismayed and a little dumfounded at the number of replies to this thread that give excuses and support to such horrendously evil persons. Ummmmm is it me or aren’t we supposed to be against such evils as Christians? Isn’t the devil our enemy by nature? I have no idea why anyone in his or her right mind would want to make excuses for or defend such persons. Sure, charity would want one to be kind, but there is a line you can cross trying to be polite.

Peace and all good,

Thomas2

There are times to attack back at the enemy. But this group is not the one to fight, they are harmless and not worth the resources.
Now satanic anti-catholic cults those are the ones we should fear, and watch out for. They are skilled and trained on how to steal Hosts. They also pay high bounties for them as well.

Good point. Levayists don’t even worship Satan as a deity, and as a whole (of course there are going to be individuals) aren’t necessarily anti-Christian, although their beliefs may go against some Christian principles. The anti-Catholic cults I believe are actually less common than Levayists and IMO in general are teenagers looking to be rebellious. Not to say that there aren’t adults in these cults as well. Levayists as far as I’m concerned aren’t “evil”. I’ve skimmed over their principles before and although I don’t agree with them and do think that if taken to literally, some of them can be harmful, they really don’t seem like “bad” people, just people more focused on worshipping the self rather than a diety.
